Jiang Mianmian, who was accustomed to living in the countryside, of course preferred this kind of detached courtyard. It was so spacious and comfortable, and she didn’t have to worry about the neighbor downstairs knocking on their door if she stepped too heavily.
Jiang Changhai watched his daughter running around the rooms, and her happiness was infectious.
"Mianmian, the biggest room is for your mother and me, and you can choose any of the other rooms for yourself. In a few days, Dad will buy you a set of tables and chairs for your study desk," Jiang Changhai happily anticipated.

Jiang Changhai and Su Wanyu cleaned up the new house for a while, and seeing that it was getting late, they began to think about heading home.

The next day, Jiang Changhai got up a bit earlier than usual and went to the teacher’s office with Mianmian.

Seeing the situation, Meng Weidong quickly went to the principal’s office next door.
"Principal, something is wrong. Mianmian’s father just said he wants to transfer her to the primary school in town," Meng informed.
"What? Why so suddenly?" the principal asked in surprise.
"They bought a house in town and moved their residence. He’s right next door now, talking to Teacher Liu. Please come and have a look," Meng suggested.
When the principal arrived, Teacher Liu was still trying to persuade Jiang Changhai.
"Mr. Jiang, Mianmian is going to start the fifth grade next semester, which is a crucial time. We understand her learning progress the best," she explained.
