After Marrying Him, the Ending Has Changed Chapter 49

Chapter 49: Chapter 49: Feels Quite Good

Jiang Changhai also said, “Let’s just go with fourth grade, Mianmian is still young, we can’t pull up seedlings to help them grow.”

He didn’t want his daughter to struggle too hard; after all, she could still win scholarships in the fourth grade.

“Dad, it’s ‘pulling up seedlings helps them not’.”

“Right, right, my daughter is so smart, and she knows so many idioms too.”

The principal thought about it and felt he made sense, “Okay, then fourth grade it is, going steady is also good.”

Teacher Liu arranged her in Zhiwu’s class, “You’ll be with your brother Zhiwu. You’ll have to help him out a lot since he always ranks near the bottom of the class.”

She personally took Jiang Mianmian to the class, handed out a few brand new books, and arranged for her to sit at the very front.

“Jiang Mianmian, you sit here for now. You’re young and short, you won’t be able to see the blackboard from the back.”

Looking at the podium just a stone’s throw away, Jiang Mianmian had a face full of black lines.

Having been a lifetime underachiever, this was her first time sitting in such a position, and her feelings were somewhat complicated…

The little girl, dressed in a florid cotton dress, lifted her head, her eyes sparkling brightly as she looked at the podium.

She looked just like a sticky rice dumpling.

Jiang Changhai stood outside the window, his face was beaming with the silly smile of a father, his daughter was the most well-behaved and adorable!

Jiang Mianmian noticed her dad’s gaze, turned back, gave him a big smile, and mouthed: “Dad, buy me a big meat bun.”

Jiang Changhai smiled and nodded, his little glutton.

He only reluctantly left when the school bell rang.

At the school gate, he ran into Zhiwen and Zhiwu slipping in with faces like calico cats.

Jiang Changhai scolded with a laugh, “You two little rascals, if your mom finds out you’re sneaking in just as the bell rings, she’ll kill you both!”

Although they were afraid of Uncle, Zhiwen and Zhiwu believed he wouldn’t snitch, they made a face and, at the instant the bell stopped ringing, they slithered into their classrooms.

Their movements were practiced, clearly not their first time.

Jiang Changhai fell silent; no wonder these two rascals never mentioned school work, their hearts just weren’t in it.

Back in the classroom, Zhiwu caught Teacher Liu’s displeased look as he trotted from the door to the back row, but he caught sight of Jiang Mianmian and froze on the spot.

San Ya was actually really in fourth grade!

Just then, Teacher Liu tapped the blackboard with a serious face, “Today, we have a new student in our class, let’s give her a warm welcome with a round of applause!”

Amidst the enthusiastic clapping of a bunch of little kids and Teacher Liu’s encouraging gaze, Jiang Mianmian stood up and introduced herself with youthful innocence, “Hello everyone, my name is Jiang Mianmian.”

She was poised and composed, not the slightest bit afraid or timid in the face of this sudden arrival in a strange place.

Teacher Liu nodded quietly to herself, not bad.

The classmates whispered among themselves, “She’s so young but can be in our class, she must be amazing.”

“Look how cute she is, as white as an egg.”

“But she looks so little, did she come to the wrong class?”

Teacher Liu banged on the table, “This is our new student, only eight years old, and she’s already scored double hundreds on the third-grade exam papers. You should all learn from Jiang Mianmian, got it?”

A chorus erupted among the kids, “Wow! She scored full marks!”

At the back of the class, Jiang Zhiwu shook his head and bragged, “That’s my little sister, pretty awesome, huh!”

Hearing this, a group of carrot-headed kids looked enviously at Jiang Zhiwu.

They too wished they had a sister as smart and cute as her!

Viewed by the group of little kids with admiring and reverent eyes, Jiang Mianmian blinked her eyes, feeling a bit unreal.

But she kind of liked the feeling, hehe.
