“It’s me.” Xia Chuyi replied indifferently.
“You know each other?”
Zhao Xiaoling’s girlfriend noticed the two knew each other; initially surprised, she looked back and forth and realized their gazes were off, so she kept quiet.
Zhao Xiaoling looked at Xia Chuyi with unmistakable contempt.
She scoffed and said, “Are you here to help out?”
Zhao Xiaoling held her head high, scanning the shop that was neither big nor small, and said, “At least you know your place, gave up on working in the factory, otherwise…”
Her attitude became increasingly overbearing.
“This is my shop.” Xia Chuyi lifted her eyelids and glanced at her casually, her tone neither servile nor overbearing, “May I ask if there’s anything I can do for you two ladies?”

Xia Chuyi’s status as the daughter of a martyr, and her connection with Huo Shiqian, had always been a sore point for Zhao Xiaoling.
