He had the look of her, the ungrateful girl, not knowing how to repay kindness.
With a cold snort, Xia Chuyi twirled the knife in her hand into an intricate pattern and slammed it onto the chopping board with a thud, “Trouble? What trouble? The trouble you caused in my shop?”
He must have forgotten that the “trouble” he referred to was himself and Brother Qiang.
“You… you’re the one who provoked others first, and they turned to Brother Qiang! We just helped them out,” Xia Chengzong wouldn’t admit it and defended himself.
“Oh, so after receiving benefits, you come to trouble a weak woman like me? Is that the kind of help you offer?” she said with a mild sarcasm.
“We didn’t…” Xia Chengzong tried to squirm his way out but found himself at a loss for words.

He and Brother Qiang were essentially there to bully a weak woman.

He stared intensely into her eyes, and finally couldn’t help but spill out the honest feelings he had been harboring for a long time.
Xia Chuyi looked at him and shook her head, “Forget it, if you don’t want to pay, then don’t.”
“Just don’t regret it,” she added with a hint of significance in her voice.
“What do you mean?” Xia Chengzu was startled.
Was he having terrible luck today, previously threatened by his employer, and now being threatened by the very person he’s extorted?
Did he really look like a hoodlum with no pride?
