Chapter 20: Chapter 20 Ready to Go
“Chuyi is back! Come, have some dried sweet potatoes!” Upon seeing Xia Chuyi, Wang Xiaofang warmly offered them to her.
Xia Chuyi waved her hand to indicate she didn’t want any.
“I have eaten outside.”
Actually, she hadn’t eaten; she planned to eat in the space after returning to her room.

The book in her hand flashed and transformed into a ray of light that entered her body.
Opening the door, there she was, stealthily looking around.
“Chuyi, something’s up!”
Seeing Wang Xiaofang’s underground party contact-like demeanor, Xia Chuyi couldn’t help but grin.
Coughing subtly, she lowered her voice and asked, “Tell me, beautiful comrade, what’s the situation?”
“I just heard some strange noises in Xia Lan’s room!” Wang Xiaofang whispered.
Xia Chuyi’s eyes flickered slightly.
Xia Lan was making a move?
Thinking this, she didn’t spell it out but commented, “A strange noise doesn’t necessarily mean something’s going on, does it?”
Wang Xiaofang pointed at her own head: “You’re so naive; wouldn’t we know for sure if I checked the room?”
“If there’s nothing…”
“If there’s nothing, then it’s just a real room check. You go around to the outside, just in case there really is someone who flips out the window!”
“These shameless wild mandarin ducks, they just love flipping in and out of windows!”
Wang Xiaofang spoke as though she had seen it happen.
Xia Chuyi felt a bit embarrassed.
Wild mandarin ducks, flipping through windows… it reminded her of herself and Huo Shiqian, cough cough.
After some whispered plans by Wang Xiaofang, Xia Chuyi indicated she understood and would fully cooperate.
