After Transmigrating into a Novel with My Boyfriend, He Turned Out to Be a Native Villain Chapter 174

Hearing the voice, Little yellow orb froze and looked up, only to see Yu Li slowly opening her eyes.

“Sis, you didn’t fall asleep? Or did I wake you?”

Yu Li replied lazily, “I wasn’t asleep.”

Because she was waiting for Bo Jingmo to come back and rub her waist.

It had always been after every time—they’d made it a habit.

But instead of the man, she got two dumb little things.

Yu Li yawned, lifted her eyelids to glance at the foolish Little System, then shifted into a more comfortable position and asked, “What did you see just now?”

Otherwise it wouldn’t be crawling onto her bed in the middle of the night.

Little System hesitated for a bit, then scooted up to Yu Li’s ear with a wheeze. It clearly could’ve spoken out loud, but had a strange love for whispering like humans.

“Sis, I overheard Bo Jingmo on the phone with his family. I didn’t catch much of what he said, but I saw him lose control and have an episode. Now he’s out on the balcony letting the cold wind blow on him.”

Yu Li’s gaze lifted slightly: “Cold wind?”

Little System accused loudly and clearly, “Not just the wind! He even opened the door on purpose to stand in the rain! He’s definitely doing it on purpose to make you feel bad for him! So annoying!!”

Recalling what Little System mentioned earlier about the episode, Yu Li could more or less guess the situation.

She nodded and patted Little System’s head. “Got it. Good job, Little Orb. Now go play with Little Shadow.”

“Sis, are you gonna ask Bo Jingmo about it? About what happened with his family?” Little System asked her.

But unexpectedly, Yu Li shook her head. “Not asking.”

“You don’t want to know?”

Little System was confused. Logically speaking, since Yu Li liked Bo Jingmo, she should want to know everything about him.

But Yu Li just closed her eyes and let out a soft laugh, her tone unreadable. “He’ll tell me himself.”

After all, her crying earlier wasn’t just out of pity—it was to break down Bo Jingmo’s emotional walls.

Bo Jingmo now wasn’t the same as in the previous life. Back then, even the tiniest things would have him whining to her, scared of losing her attention.

But now he was hiding too many secrets.

If she didn’t use a few tricks, it’d be hard to get anything out of him.

But at the root of it all, it was because his memory hadn’t returned.

Thinking of that, Yu Li opened her eyes and looked at the Little System that was wobbling around, raised her hand to pin down its bobbing little body, and smiled with curved eyes as she asked, “Sweetie, do you know how to make Bo Jingmo’s memory come back?”

Little yellow orb’s body froze. Bo Jingmo’s memory…

It squirmed as it answered, “Sis, I don’t know either. Maybe you can work harder with Bo Jingmo in the instance and ask the Instance System?”

“…Ask the Instance System? It can deal with that too? Aren’t you afraid it’ll find out about you?” Yu Li had always been curious about the relationship between this Little System and the Instance System.

It kept warning her not to be discovered by the Instance System, yet now it was telling her to go ask that same system for Bo Jingmo’s memory.

Little System explained, “It’s fine. The Instance System has always known about me. We’re aware of each other, just manage different zones. I manage novel plots, it manages the creepy instances of this world.”

“As for not being discovered… It’s because you were brought in by me, Sis. So I have to be cautious. Once you all get stronger later on, it won’t care anymore.”

But in reality, the other side had probably known for a long time.

Yu Li didn’t say more, her gaze dropping as she sank into thought.

If she wanted to get Bo Jingmo’s memory, would she have to trade points for it too?

Little System didn’t stay in the room long, since Bo Jingmo came back quickly.

Click click—the door was opened, then gently shut again.

Yu Li kept her eyes closed and felt someone lie down behind her. Then an arm wrapped around her waist.

The man had probably changed into a fresh set of clothes in another room and even blow-dried his hair, but Yu Li could still smell the fresh scent of rain, mixed with a slight chill.

She didn’t speak or open her eyes, just turned around and nestled into the man’s arms.

Bo Jingmo pulled her in closer. His brain hadn’t caught up yet, but his hand was already rubbing her waist.

He lowered his head and kissed the top of her head.

But before he could close his eyes, the girl suddenly reached out from under the blanket and wrapped her arms around his neck with eerie precision.

Bo Jingmo froze, looking down to meet those bright eyes.

“Did I wake you?” His voice was low and slightly hoarse.

Yu Li didn’t answer, just pressed her face to his. “Bo Jingmo, my waist’s so sore. I waited forever, but you never came back.”

Her voice was soft and raspy from crying, like a spoiled complaint.

The man hadn’t expected this at all and quickly coaxed her in a low voice, “Sorry, baby. I took a call last minute. I’ll rub it for you now.”

Yu Li lifted her eyelids and casually asked, “It’s so late. Was it an important call?”

Bo Jingmo paused. “Family stuff. Not really important.”

Yu Li didn’t ask further, just gently stroked his face.

Her fingertip quietly released a wisp of black mist, which silently entered Bo Jingmo’s body.

If he liked catching cold, then let him deal with the consequences himself.

The next morning, Yu Li felt like she was being hugged by a furnace. The arm around her waist was scalding hot, like it was locking her in with a pair of fire tongs. It was almost winter, yet she’d sweat through her clothes.

She opened her eyes, looked up at the man still asleep, and reached out to touch his forehead.

As expected—he had a fever.

She looked at his furrowed brows, likely from discomfort, and slowly smoothed them out with her fingertip. She softly called, “Bo Jingmo?”

Maybe it was the familiar scent—his brows relaxed, and he responded in a low voice. His arms hugged her tighter, his voice hoarse beyond recognition: “Lili…”

“I’m here.” Yu Li stroked his face and asked gently, “Does your head hurt?”

Her palm was a little cool, which felt really nice on the skin. Bo Jingmo instinctively leaned in. He finally felt something was off—his head was not only heavy but dizzy too.

He slowly opened his eyes, slightly dazed. “What time is it?”

Yu Li checked. “Almost noon.”

Then she looked back at the man, her tone calm. “You’ve got a fever, Bo Jingmo.”

Fever—an unfamiliar word for Bo Jingmo. It had been ages since he last got sick.

After the initial daze, he raised his hand to feel his forehead and quickly realized it was from standing in the cold last night.

He was about to chuckle and say it wasn’t a big deal, but met Yu Li’s way-too-calm gaze and froze, too afraid to say anything.

Then he saw the girl lean down and press her forehead to his.

Her eyes curved up, but there was no laughter in them. Her voice was slow.

“I really want to know, how did our little Bo President catch a fever just from a phone call?”

“Or… was it from being worn out after sleeping with me?”

Bo Jingmo’s smile froze instantly.

How was that even possible?!
