It seemed that as Bo Jingmo's power grew, that ghost's strength would diminish.
Yu Chi sneered inwardly - in that case, all he needed to do was seize this opportunity to kill that ghost.
Bo Jingmo looked down at his wrist. "Is that so?"
When he raised his head again, his face showed no expression, only chilling coldness as the corner of his mouth curled into a mocking arc. "Do you think I have no way to kill you?"
Yu Chi clicked his tongue. He wouldn't fight Bo Jingmo directly - not only would they both be severely injured in a fight, but if he actually killed Bo Jingmo, wouldn't that ghost's power just grow stronger?
"Bo Jingmo! Don't you want to eliminate that ghost? If you're capable of killing me, you can do it after that ghost is dead." Yu Chi narrowed his eyes, employing both carrot and stick. "Why must we both be severely injured now, with only Yu Li and that ghost benefiting in the end?"

Bo Jingmo's hand jerked back violently: "No!"
But then he seemed to realize something, gripping Yu Li's wrist with reddened eyes, his voice choked with anguish:
"You know perfectly well how I feel about you. I would never use your soul, Yu Li. You're giving me no choice - you're forcing me to sacrifice myself for that male ghost. But why... why are you doing this to me?"
The man looked at her with helpless, pleading eyes, his throat so tight it felt lined with glass shards, each word coming out painfully as the taste of blood spread in his mouth.
"Why can't you just pretend you don't know anything? Wouldn't it be fine to stay with me ? I'll handle everything, and I'll treat you well too, Lili. I'll treat you well too."
