Chapter 24: I'm just curious.
They ended up ripping off a dozen toys from the booth and left the owner weeping.
"Wow, that was incredible. I didn't think you were so awesome with games." Hae-won complimented.
'He called me awesome.' Baek-Hyun thought and secretly gloated.
"So, what are we going to do with all these toys?" Woo-Bin asked.
"He's keeping them all." Baek-Hyun said almost to the point of growling.
"Haha, that's nice but I think it will be too much of a hassle to keep carrying these around." Hae-won said but Baek-Hyun suddenly took all of them.
"It's not a hassle at all. I'll just find a place to keep them till we're ready to leave." He rushed off to find a place.
Hae-won watched him and couldn't help but wonder.
'Was he always this attentive and active?' He was acting with care and it made Hae-won feel that something was off.
"So, do you want ice cream?" Woo-Bin asked, pointing at the Booth selling ice cream and he nodded.
Once Baek-Hyun returned, Hae-won gave him a new scoop which made him blush but he did well to hide the excitement.
Hae-won announced that he wanted to ride the Ferris wheel. It would be his first time both in his previous and present life.
Though Baek-Hyun wanted to be the one to ride with him and share this first experience, Woo-Bin beat him to it.
"Is this really okay?" Hae-won asked, seeing Baek-Hyun growl at them from the queue.
"It's fine." Woo-Bin said with a little chuckle. "This is your first time riding so, be sure to savour the moment."
Hae-won looked out the window as the wheel started spinning. It was still day time so the view wouldn't be as mind-blowing as it would be in the night. But he prefers it this way. He needed to go to the restaurant and tell them he was quitting later.
There was no way he'd work there for another day. He'd burst because of the customers.
'I'll just stick to writing till I can tell where Hae-won left his graduation certificates,' he thought.
There were a few fun games that suddenly caught his eyes.
"After this, let's play a few more games." He said. "I hope they're not all rigged, haha." He chuckled and turned to see a silent Woo-Bin staring intently at him. He had already taken off his nose mask and his hat.
He looked so charming and it was very evident he was a celebrity. There was no way they could walk around with him having such a face. Baek-Hyun was already drawing a lot of attention and if he was included then, they would drown in the eyes of the crowd.
"What?" Hae-won asked.
"I'm just curious." He said. "At times, you come off as an Omega but you're clearly a Beta. It's almost as if you're both Beta and Omega."
"Yeah, I get that a lot." Hae-won responded and sat properly. "Anyway, about that 'thing' you sent me."
"You mean the dildo?" Woo-Bin asked with no shame and Hae-won nodded with a little flush on his cheek.
"Yeah, the dil... the dildo. Why did you send it to me?" He asked.
"Well, I thought you'd need it but I didn't think you'd show it to him. You were quite bold, haha."
"I showed it to him thinking you originally sent it to him and were just messing with me. I got confused and thought he was the... bottom." He lowered his head as he muttered that last part but Woo-Bin heard it clearly and started laughing.
"Oh my, that's such an impossible feat." He laughed. "But I did try to top him once but that didn't go so well. Haha."
'I feel like I shouldn't hear this.' Hae-won thought, feeling uncomfortable. "But that's not it. You said I'd need it but I don't see why. Even if you two aren't dating and are just sex partners, I don't see why you'd want me to do that as well. I... do I look desperate that I'd want to do that?" His eyes became teary, surprising Woo-Bin.
"Oh no, it's not like that." He said and thought for a while. "I'm sorry. It seems I hurt your feelings." He said and got up and attempted to move towards his side.
The cabin rocked a bit but balanced once he sat down. He took his hand.
"I didn't mean it like that." He said. "Honestly, Sun-bae, I should've asked how you felt about it before teasing you like that. I'm sorry."
"Woo-Bin, don't you like Baek-Hyun?" Hae-won asked.
"I do but not to the extent that you're thinking of." He said.
"Then?"
"It's his pheromones. God, his pheromones drive me crazy. I never knew an Alpha's scent would make me like that. I've never met anyone who gives out such a suffocating yet seductive scent. It's the reason why I'm hooking up with him. Originally, I'm not a bottom." He smiled, knowingly.
Hae-won fell silent for a while. Baek-Hyun's scent was indeed suffocating but seductive? He hadn't felt that in his scent before.
"Woo-Bin, did you consider that Baek-Hyun might have feelings for you?" He asked and Woo-Bin fell silent.
"Well, even if he did, I doubt it'd be as strong as what he feels for you."
"Me?"
"Baek-Hyun told me what he did to you in the past. I think it was just a few days after you started living with us and honestly I felt sorry for you but I also felt sorry for him. He didn't relay his feelings properly and that led to what happened. You... "
"What are you talking about?" Hae-won asked, cutting him short. He had no single clue as to what Woo-Bin was talking about.
"Eh... you don't remember that?"
"Remember what?"
"You don't remember that you and Baek-Hyun used to go to the same highschool and the incident that happened at your graduation party?" He asked but Hae-won still had no idea and looked at him confused. "Oh my, this must really hurt. Does Baek-Hyun know you don't remember?"
"I think so. I remember him saying something like we used to attend middle school and highschool together and that we were best friends but I don't really remember it." He shook his head.
"That explains why you didn't expect anything to happen between you two while I was away. You two really had a deep connection before that incident. At least, that's what Baek-Hyun said."
All this information started spinning in Hae-won's head. He couldn't make sense to it and it was confusing.
Baek-Hyun had feelings for him and it had been like that since highschool?
There was something bad that happened between them? Was that why they lost connection with each other?
"Let's look past that." He said, shaking his head. "Then, you, are you sure you don't like Baek-Hyun; that you don't like anything else but his pheromones?"
"I like sex with him."
"You don't like him as a person?" Woo-Bin fell silent. How was he going to spill it out to him in a way he'd be completely convinced?
He got it.
He drew closer to him till their faces were inches apart and said,
"If I did, would I be able to do this with you?" With that, he leaned in and kissed him.
Hae-won was beyond shocked and he couldn't even react to it.
