Chapter 6: What will you do if your Sun-bae sees you like this?
Living with Baek-Hyun and Woo-Bin wasn't as exciting as I thought it would be.
They didn't really do anything and we're hardly home... except at night and apparently, the walls were soundproof so I couldn't hear anything even if they got at it.
Well, leaving that troublesome habit aside, I decided to get a job since I had no single penny to my name. I was a graduate yet I couldn't even apply at a decent company. Reason was, I somehow lost my certificate and the means to retrieve them.
Way to go, Hae-Won!
So, I opted for convenient stores, restaurants and cafes. Since I had experience working almost five part-time jobs a day, I knew I could pull it off but sadly, I couldn't land a single job.
"Sigh!" I sighed as I sat on the sofa.
"What's making you sigh so wearily, Sun-bae?" Woo-Bin asked, coming out of his room in a simple white shirt and shorts.
"It's nothing serious!" I said. "Don't worry about me."
"Something's definitely bothering you!" He insisted and sat next to me.
"I'm serious! It's nothing to bother at all!" I said and shifted my gaze to the TV.
"Alright but if you need my help, I'm always ready to help you out!" He said and I nodded. I was getting that eerie feeling again. Baek-Hyun couldn't spare me from his murderous glares even for just a day.
'Hm, come to think of it. Does that mean the guy at the bathroom stall with him was Woo-Bin?' I thought and peeked at Woo-Bin.
The thought of him getting drenched in sweat and making lewd expressions just seemed to trigger my fan girl spirit.
"What are you grinning at?" Baek-Hyun sat in-between me and Woo-Bin and gave me a nasty frown.
Without realizing it, I had been grinning from ear to ear like a pervert.
"Ahem!" I cleared my throat, adjusted my expression and looked towards the TV but he kept his suspicious gaze on me.
I had to admit it, I was acting suspicious
"By the way, Baek-Hyun," I called and he turned to me. "What do you do?"
"What?"
"I mean, where do you work? I know Woo-Bin works in the entertainment industry but I don't know anything about you." They both stared at me, surprised.
Did I say something wrong?
"I didn't know we were already so close that we're on a first name basis!" He said and I immediately changed my tone.
"Where do you work, Sun Baekhyun ssi?" I stressed and for a moment, I swore I saw a dissatisfied look on his face.
"And I don't think we're close enough to ask each other about work." He added and I felt a cord in my head snap. Was he really messing with me?
"Pfft!" Woo-Bin laughed and we both shifted our gaze to him. "You two seem to be hitting it off nice." He said but one look at each other and we already felt like throwing up.
"I'd have to die and reincarnate to consider this guy my type?" I said and this somehow annoyed him.
"You should feel lucky if ever I set a nice gaze on you. After all, you're just a tiny beta!" He said and for a moment, I seemed to recall something.
"Wait, what did you just say?" I asked but he simply glanced at me and got up. "Wait," I clung on to his shirt. "... repeat what you just said."
I looked desperate as I clung onto his shirt and the atmosphere fell.
"What do you want to hear? That you should feel lucky if I ever set my gaze on you or... "
"No, the other! What did you say about me being a... ?" I paused.
What was I even doing?
Woo-Bin and Baek-Hyun stared at me in confusion. Even I was confused. I quickly let go of his shirt and got up.
"Sorry I... I'll go to bed now!" I quickly rushed to my room and closed the door.
Woo-Bin turned to Baek-Hyun.
"I think he feels really uncomfortable with your attitude!" He said. "Don't you think you should lighten up a bit? Sun-bae is a really nice person and he's also gone through a lot in life. Your attitude may make him feel unwanted."
"It's not like I don't want him here at all but you're the one who wanted to have someone occupying that empty room. I'm not obliged to be nice to him, am I?" Baek-Hyun said and drew closer. "It was better when it was just you and me. I could do whatever I wanted."
"Oh? And now you can't?" Woo-Bin asked with a provoking smile.
"Dammit! You know what I mean!"
Woo-Bin tittered and leaned back on the couch.
"Well, there's nobody here right now. Why don't you take the opportunity to do what you 'want'!" It was a very tempting provocation and Baek-Hyun had no plans of resisting it.
He immediately leaned in and locked his lips with Woo-Bin, engaging in a deep and sensual kiss.
Baek-Hyun let go and stared at Woo-Bin's sensual expression and smirked. He nibbled on his ear and whispered,
"What will you do if your Sun-bae sees you like this? You're such a mess right now, you know that?"
"Does it matter?" Woo-Bin asked and wrapped his arms around his neck. "Everyman needs to quench his desires somehow, don't they?"
"Heh, you really are hot!" With that, he locked his lips once more with his. His hands traveled all the way into his shirt and fondled his skin.
I, who had come out after running away arbitrarily, couldn't help but stand frozen at the sight I was witnessing before my eyes.
I didn't mean to run away earlier but my thoughts were jumbled and my head, aching. After shutting my door, I realized I shouldn't have run out like that. Plus, I hadn't eaten anything for dinner yet.
Maybe I should've stayed in the room because watching this live action before me, I didn't feel it was the right thing.
There was a nagging feeling in me. Was it Hae-won's feeling or mine? I didn't know.
Usually, I'd get excited by such scenes. I'd even go to great lengths to watch the full thing but right at that moment, I couldn't do that. I lowered my head.
'I'll just go back to my room, silently!' I thought to myself but as soon as I looked up, my eyes met Baek-Hyun's and I flinched.
