From the data on his retina, Brand knew that this strike had killed at least twenty Lizardmen, which was an unexpected gain, indicating the density of their formation. But this was just a signal to attack. The explosion had created a vacuum zone in the middle of the forest. The tall trees were uprooted or leaning crookedly. More tragically, the Lizardmen caught in the blast—there had initially been at least 100 of them in a whole squad—were now incomplete corpses. Blood and mud mixed together, with crimson organs hanging from the branches everywhere, reminiscent of Hell.
Even Brand couldn’t help but gag a little, but he forced down the nauseating feeling and began to recalculate the strength of the enemy versus his own.
In fact, yesterday, Yohkel had taken out the most Lizardman Warriors, at least over 400. Brand suspected that if not for the search, the haughty lizard wouldn’t have been willing to allocate any of his subordinates to Conrad and the Dark Priests.
