“A Pokémon?” Nan Xiyue looked surprised. She turned her gaze to Zoroark.
“A Pokémon that can take human form… Could it be a Ditto?”
Watching Nan Xiyue, Chen Nian patted Zoroark’s shoulder and said,
“Change back. Seeing you like this feels a bit weird…”
Zoroark quickly reverted to its original form, and only then did Nan Xiyue realize what kind of Pokémon it was.
“Zoroark?”
“That’s an incredibly rare and powerful Pokémon…”
“Don’t tell me, Chen Nian, you went out this time and found a Zoroark as your partner?”

Chen Nian tossed a Poké Ball, releasing Dragonite.
The moment Nan Xiyue saw Dragonite’s imposing presence, she gasped in surprise.
“You even have a Dragonite?”
“It looks like it has excellent potential… Nian, your gains from this trip are incredible! This is an extremely rare and powerful Pokémon—how did you catch it?”
Before Chen Nian could explain, Nan Qinli eagerly spoke up,
“Brother Chen Nian promised Dragonite that he’d find it a girlfriend in the future, and then Dragonite just followed him! Mom, don’t you think this Dragonite is just too adorable?”
Being called “adorable” by a beautiful girl, Dragonite scratched its head sheepishly.
Nan Xiyue, however, simply laughed.

As a Pokémon research professor and a top-tier Pokémon Breeder, Nan Xiyue didn’t believe such a powerful Pokémon could be so easily fooled. Otherwise, Dragonite would be everywhere in the world.
Still, Nan Xiyue didn’t expose the truth. She patted Nan Qinli’s head and said,
“Well, that’s some amazing luck!”
“Nian, make sure to take good care of Dragonite and Zoroark as your partners. If you ever have any questions about raising Pokémon, feel free to ask me.”
“Mom, Brother Chen Nian didn’t just get Dragonite—he also caught two never-before-seen Pokémon!”
“Never-before-seen Pokémon?”
Now, Nan Xiyue’s interest was piqued.
As a Pokémon researcher, she couldn’t help but be curious about undiscovered species.
Facing Nan Xiyue, Chen Nian didn’t hide anything. He summoned the two Cosmog, and the little ones immediately began happily playing around the room.
“They really are undiscovered Pokémon!”
“They look so cute…”
“Chen Nian, where did you find them?”

Nan Xiyue smiled warmly, then picked up one of the Cosmog and gently stroked it.
“Could you lend them to me for a while? I’d love to study their growth and habits…”
If anyone else had asked to borrow his Pokémon, Chen Nian would’ve refused. But Nan Xiyue was different.
Even though they were just neighbors, she had practically raised him. In Chen Nian’s eyes, she was no different from family.
Besides, with Nan Xiyue’s gentle nature, he knew she’d take excellent care of Cosmog.
So Chen Nian immediately replied, “If you want to study them, Auntie, I’ll leave them with you for a while.”
