Donnie organized a BBQ at the seaside villa and invited John, Robert, Café Jackson, and others. About a dozen people sat around in the villa’s garden with professional servants in charge of the grilling while they sat in chairs, drinking and chatting.
It wasn’t just them who came; they had also brought their female companions.
Even John was no exception. His companion was an actress from Broadway in New York, and even Donnie didn’t know when the two had gotten together; more precisely he didn’t know when John had gone to New York!
And that evening, John also had shocking news for Donnie.
“I’m getting married!”
John said, looking at his girlfriend Evelyn Melo chatting with Helen and Alice in the distance, with a smile.
