Rhea raised from his chest, her heart beating, throbbing, pounding, her inside tingling.
With her legs straddling him, she cupped his face as she drew closer to his lips.
Zeenare lifted his hands, his head leaning back, watching Rhea crawl close to him.
She stared into his eyes, his eyes wide, his hands now around her waist, the soft silk fabric on her body folding between his hands.
Though he had the opportunity to leave me, to let me bear the curse alone. He didn’t leave. He came for me over and over and over again.
Zeenare’s lips parted, his gaze not leaving hers. As she looked down at him, her hair in his face. Though he was confused, his heart had dropped.
"Rhea? Umm."
Her lips claimed his, and a deep groan rumbled from his chest into the kiss, swallowed by her mouth. He closed his eyes as his hands wrapped around her, grew tighter, pressing her deep against him. His fingers found their way to the back of her neck, tingling in her hair.
Rhea’s hand wrapped around his neck, her finger in his hair. She leaned in, deepening the kiss.
Their tongues intertwined, savouring each other’s taste as her body ground against him.
Their breath came out in puffs, but they didn’t break the kiss, their rhythm synced.
Rhea trailed her lips down his neck, and a cold shiver ran through Zeenare’s body, his spine arching with the sensation.
His grip was strong at the sudden impact of her lips on his skin.
"Rhea, wait, I don’t think we should do this!" He hurriedly held onto her as he spoke, but his eyes were hungry.
Rhea looked at him for a beat, then returned to his neck, her hands roaming his body.
Zeenare sharply sucked in air, holding her tighter. "Pumpkin... I don’t think I can hold myself if we go on with this. So let’s stop here."
"Then don’t hold back." Her eyes dimmed, boring into him. "Fuck me as hard as you want. Let me feel the monster within you." The heat in her core dripping onto Zeenare’s legs.
"Pumpkin, don’t do that. I know this isn’t what you want, it’s your body reacting to me."
"Humm!" He groaned as Rhea pressed his already hard dick.
"I want this. I... want you, Zee." Her voice was soft.
Zeenare’s eyes snapped open, his brow raised as his breath faltered. "What did you call me?"
"Zee..."
He slammed his lips into hers, hungry in demand, begging for entrance as he thrust his tongue into her mouth. Her pulse went wild against his lips as his hardness brushed her cunny.
"But no, Pumpkin, we have to stop here." He spoke, breaking his lips away, trailing to her forehead, planting a light kiss.
"But why?"
"I just shared my essence with you, and I’m unstable right now, which is flowing out and affecting your thinking."
"I don’t think that is what is wrong with me. But what is an esse—"
"AHH!" She shouted, crouching, pressing down at her lower waist and the right side.
"What is it?!" Zeenare tried pulling her up, but she was crouched tight.
A deep, muffled crackling screeching pain cut through her at first, as something tearing or scorching beneath her flesh.
It was followed by a wet, bubbling hiss, as fluids inside her body heated and boiled.
She fell on her back, clenching the scorching pain within her, groaning.
"Rhea!" Zeenare quickly layed her on the bed, lifting her clothes to see what she was clamping on.
Then a sharp sizzling sound echoed through the room as the burn finally reached the surface and broke its way up her skin.
Her screams were paramount, her lips bleeding from biting too hard.
A sound paired with a faint, low hum vibration, coursed through her.
As Zeenare lifted the dress, his eyes were met with a red rune mark of moon, sun, and star carved together on her side.
"Rhea, why do you have this on you?" His voice was low, his eyes wide, breaking in cold sweats.
Tears streamed down the corner of her eye. "It hurts." Her voice broke.
"Shhhh!" Zeenare seeing her in immerse pain, he pulled her into a hug, since he didn’t know what to do. "It’s okay. It’s all going to be okay."
She shouldn’t have that in her body. No human should. Zeenare’s mind hummed, his face twisted in a frown of horror.
As time spun, Rhea gradually calmed down. The pain was there, but bearable.
"Are you okay now?" He asked, cupping her face, Ravira by their side.
"What do you think could have caused this?" His gaze turned to Ravira.
"I don’t know, Alpha Tide, this has never occurred before. This only appears on a TideAlpha Queen. Which she is not..." She trailed off, staring at the lying Rhea.
"Master, could we talk somewhere else?" Her gaze turned to Zeenare.
Zeenare, knowing what she meant to say, glanced at Rhea. "Excuse me for a bit."
She nodded, watching as they stalked towards the study.
"Your Majexric," Ravira began, "I would want to believe it’s because of her exposure to you that is causing these changes in her... in this lifetime."
Zeenare watched her as she spoke.
"Maybe the changes in her would be as a result of her being linked to you. And since you gave her a part of your essence, I think that triggered her core, mutating her into an Alpha female."
Does this mean she can now bear my child? Zeenare imagined the possibilities of having a child with Rhea.
Then she added, "But, I think this could risk her life more than the curse itself."
That piece of information snapped Zeenare from his thoughts.
"What do you mean?!" His eyes blazed.
"No human not connected to Auxe possesses a core for an essence." She pointed out, her arms folded.
"But that is where I met her." He tried creating a reason why it wouldn’t affect Rhea.
"But not this one! Rhea may be reborn every three decades, but she is not the same." Ravira’s hand was on her waist, the other poking at the large table before her.
"I will not indulge you to ever share your essence with her ever again! You want her to be shattered, to crack from within, that is."
Zeenare let out a deep sigh, pinching his forehead. Dismissing Ravira as he stood by the window.
Why is it one problem after another? Luxen, you really are evil. You really do know where it would hurt me the most. Must you have tainted her with me?
Now I’m the reason why she might be shattered and never be reborn again. Because of my desperation.
He turned to the room door, strode towards it. His hand on the handle, he took a deep breath, then twisted.
"Everything alright?" Rhea asked, her gaze eating at the awkward bright smile plastered on his face.
"Yeah. We were talking about your new mark." He brushed his fingers on the edges of the rune, causing Rhea to hiss.
Rhea remained quiet for a while, scrutinising him.
Does he not want to talk about it?
"Can you walk?" He suddenly spoke, his gaze locked on her face.
"Yes, why?" Her expression was blank.
"Want to go for a walk with me?" He proposed.
She nodded, a small smile tugged at her lips, and he picked a coat from a stand close to the bed. Then he offered her his hand as support out of the bed.
If it’s that hard to talk about, I hope this walk clears his mind.
But wait, isn’t this our first date? She stole a glance at him, squealing inwardly with excitement.
With everything changing now, what is the right way to go about it? Zeenare mind reeled.
The last time I went to Ockonayia, I couldn’t find anything. Ozios said the caster could be in Abysshold, but I couldn’t find anything.
And the only place I’ve not looked at is the humans. Auxe does not allow dark magic.
So who did Luxen use? Where could that scale-witch have acquired this... curse?
With his hands intertwined with hers, they glided towards the hallway, his eyes once fixed ahead, flickering in her direction.
Is she smiling? He pondered to himself, as a smirk placed on his lips.
"You seem excited." He muttered, drinking in the tiny smile on her face.
"Am I?" She unconsciously answered.
Then suddenly looked away, clearing her throat.
Zeenare chuckled softly. "Adorable," he rumbled under his breath.
As they trailed into the yard, Zeenare occasionally spoke to Rhea, pointing to things for her to see.
Saying mild jokes that made her laugh beautifully.
The beach water sparkled under the moonlight, holding the reflection of the earth around it, as they stroll on the shoreline.
Rhea, sound asleep, was carried into the mansion curled in Zeenare’s arms.
He gently placed her on her bed, removing the jacket over her, and sliding out of the bed.
"Don’t go, I want to sleep with you." She murmured between sleep, her hands around his neck.
"But Pumpkin, that won’t be easy for me." His face hovered right above hers, his hands boxing her against the bed.
"Please."
Why is she acting all cute and clingy today? Not that I’m complaining. I’m enjoying it.
His hand slid under her waist, pulling her in against his body.
