Another world Game Developers in Japan`s 1991 Chapter 201

Friday, February 14, 1992

Two days had passed since Zaboru reviewed Akechi's game, and as always, he was busy pushing forward with his numerous projects. The new ZAGE offices were set to be ready by February 17, and Zaboru had already assigned teams to decorate and furnish them. New PCs were being purchased, and departments were being structured to maximize efficiency. The expansion would allow ZAGE to recruit more employees, develop more games, and broaden its reach in the industry.

With this expansion, Zaboru had specific plans in mind. He wanted to dedicate Office Two to PC gaming specialists, an R&D department focused on handheld consoles, and a dedicated team for additional game enhancements. He even planned a backdoor passage connecting Office One and Office Two, ensuring seamless movement between the two buildings. As he envisioned the future, he smirked to himself.

"Heh, my ZAGE is growing fast. With more employees, we'll be able to develop even more games! I also need to improve our development game kit to make creating games easier. A full-fledged game engine isn't feasible yet, but for PC games, I could develop one in the future. I can't wait to explore the possibilities!"

His thoughts drifted to NVIDIA.

"If I remember correctly, NVIDIA was established in 1992 in my past life. Unlike entertainment companies, which seem to be delayed 10 years in this world, tech companies might still follow their original timelines. I should look into them later. If I can collaborate with them early, it could be a game-changer."

With renewed determination, he returned to his work, meticulously refining his strategies. His focus, however, was soon interrupted by a knock at his office door. Yumi, his ever-reliable secretary, entered with her usual composed demeanor.

"Boss, you have a call from Shin-san," she informed him. "He says he found a good animation studio for ZAGE to partner with. He's also sent the address."

Zaboru's eyes lit up with interest. "Got it, Yumi-san. Please give me the details. I'll go there myself."

Yumi handed him a note with the address, and after glancing over it, Zaboru wasted no time preparing for the trip.

Meanwhile, at YaDo Studio...

YaDo Studio—short for Yabai Douga—was a mid-sized animation company founded in 1985. After seven years in the business, they had managed to release only two original anime series, both of which had failed commercially. Struggling to stay afloat, they survived by outsourcing animation work for bigger studios. While this kept the company running, Yasu Domachi, the studio's owner, was far from satisfied.

Yasu had a dream—to turn YaDo into a renowned animation studio, one that could create its own successful projects rather than merely assisting others. When he heard that ZAGE, the gaming giant behind ZEPS, was looking for an animation studio to collaborate with, he saw an opportunity that could change everything. Wasting no time, he reached out to express his interest, hoping that ZAGE would see the potential in his studio.

Now, Yasu stood outside the modest YaDo office building, a structure that could accommodate around 50–60 employees. Unfortunately, due to financial struggles, the team had dwindled to just 35 people. Despite this, he remained hopeful. Standing beside him was Shinsuke Yamaguchi, ZAGE's Marketing operations Head, puffing on a cigar with his usual nonchalant attitude.

"Don't worry, Domachi-san," Shinsuke said casually. "Our boss knows how to recognize talent. Just be honest with him. You have a passion for making great anime, right? That's what matters. Unlike those old corporate executives stuck in their ways, My Boss is overflowing with creativity. Sometimes, I wonder how a single person can have such an unlimited imagination."

Yasu sighed, nodding. "We'll see how it goes, Yamaguchi-san. I just hope we can prove ourselves worthy of this opportunity."

Just then, a sleek black car pulled into the parking lot. The driver's side door opened, and out stepped a young man with an air of confidence and determination. It was Zaboru Renkonan.

"Hey, Shin-san. And you must be the owner of this studio," Zaboru said, extending a hand. "I'm Zaboru Renkonan ZAGE Owner"

Yasu shook his hand firmly. "Hello, Renkonan-san. I'm Yasu Domachi, the owner of YaDo Animation. Please, come inside so we can discuss everything properly."

Shinsuke smirked. "Lead the way, Domachi-san."

With that, the three men stepped into the studio, ready to discuss the future of YaDo and its potential partnership with ZAGE.

Inside YaDo Studio...

As they walked through the office, Zaboru took in the atmosphere. The workspace was modest but well-organized. Storyboards, sketches, and animation cels lined the walls, evidence of the studio's passion and dedication. However, there was an undeniable air of tension—employees worked quietly, their movements precise but restrained. It was clear that morale had taken a hit due to their financial struggles.

Yasu led them to a small conference room and gestured for them to sit. Once everyone was settled, he spoke.

"First of all, thank you for coming, Renkonan-san. I'll be honest with you—YaDo has been struggling for years. Our original projects didn't perform well, and we've been surviving through outsourced work. But that's not what I want for this studio. I want to create something original—something that people will remember. And when I heard that ZAGE was looking for an animation partner, I knew this could be our chance."

Zaboru leaned forward, nodding. "I appreciate your honesty, Domachi-san. I'll get straight to the point—I'm not just looking for a studio to animate cutscenes for our games. I want ZAGE to expand into animation as a whole. That means producing original anime, adaptations of our games, and even animated commercials for our products. I want a team that shares that vision. The question is—do you?"

Yasu's eyes widened. He had expected a simple outsourcing deal, not an invitation to become a major part of a multimedia expansion. He took a deep breath before responding.

"Yes. That's exactly what I've always wanted. But to achieve that, we need funding, resources, and the right leadership. If you're willing to , then I'll do everything in my power to make YaDo into the animation powerhouse you envision."

Zaboru grinned. "That's what I like to hear. Let's talk specifics."

Yasu then asked, "What are ZAGE's detailed goals for acquiring an animation company like YaDo?"

Zaboru smiled and leaned forward. "Well, before we finalize any official contracts, I can't reveal everything just yet, but I can give you a brief explanation. ZAGE isn't just looking for an animation studio to create game cutscenes—we want to build a proper animation series. That means original anime series, adaptations of our biggest games original Animation for our Upcoming games, and even collaborations for animated marketing campaigns. If you're willing to grow with us, we can create something groundbreaking together."

Yasu's eyes lit up. "Really!? Then I accept! Let's talk about the contracts—I want to know the details!"

Zaboru and Shinsuke exchanged glances before Zaboru asked, "Just like that, Domachi-san? Are you really sure about our company?" Fresh chapters posted on 𝓷𝓸𝓿𝓮𝓵·𝓯𝓲𝓻𝓮·𝓷𝓮𝓽

Yasu nodded with determination. "Yes, Renkonan-san! I don't know how to explain it, but my whole being is telling me to take this contract!"

Zaboru chuckled. "Alright then. We'll reach out next week, okay? My legal team will draft a contract for YaDo to become ZAGE's official animation studio on Next Monday. You can wait that long, right?"

Yasu hesitated, then asked, "Hmmm... Can it be done by tomorrow, Renkonan-san? I really want this to be official as soon as possible."

Zaboru rai..**sed an eyebrow. "But tomorrow is the weekend."

Yasu's expression remained firm. "I don't care! I'll even come to ZAGE tomorrow if you can finalize the contract."

Zaboru laughed. "Fine then. Come to ZAGE tomorrow—you already know the address, right? I'll wait for you. Be there around 10:00, okay?"

Yasu nodded eagerly. With that, Zaboru and Shinsuke left YaDo and headed back to the ZAGE offices, knowing that a new Chapter in their company's expansion was about to begin
