Another world Game Developers in Japan`s 1991 Chapter 270

Endo barely had time to breathe after defeating Aquamentus. His excitement was at an all-time high as he watched the first piece of the Triforce shine on the screen. He knew this was just the beginning. Seven more pieces were scattered across Hyrule, waiting to be found. His journey was far from over.

Determined to keep the momentum going, Endo guided Link back into the overworld. The familiar chiptune melody played as he planned his next move. The first dungeon had given him confidence, but he knew the challenges ahead would only grow more difficult. He needed better gear, more health, and, most importantly, a plan.

He remembered that the game manual had hinted at a hidden shop selling a Blue Ring, an item that would halve the damage Link took. "That sounds like a lifesaver," Endo muttered as he searched the map. After burning down a lone bush in the western part of Hyrule, a hidden staircase was revealed. Inside, a merchant stood behind a wooden counter, offering a selection of items. The Blue Ring sat at an exorbitant price, far beyond what Endo had collected so far.

"300 rupees?! Are you serious?!" Endo groaned. He had barely scraped together 100.

It was clear he needed to grind for rupees, and that meant fighting monsters. He spent the next hour battling hordes of enemies, slashing through waves of Moblins in the forest, taking out tektites bouncing across rocky cliffs, and farming blue octoroks near the riverbanks. Every fallen enemy dropped either rupees or items, but it was a slow, painstaking process. He lost count of how many times he died—sometimes due to overconfidence, other times to sheer bad luck. Each failure stung, but it only made him more determined. He started memorizing enemy patterns, finding safer grinding spots, and developing a rhythm to maximize his rupee collection while minimizing risk. After what felt like an eternity, he finally reached 300 rupees and rushed back to the hidden shop, purchasing the Blue Ring with a huge sigh of relief.

"Alright! Now I can take more hits! Let's see what's next."

Endo checked his map again and found the location of the second dungeon, The Moon. It was nestled deep in a cave behind an ominous-looking lake. As he stepped inside, the atmosphere immediately shifted. The eerie, dimly lit corridors were filled with stronger enemies. This time, the dungeon threw Darknuts at him—armored knights who could only be hit from the side or back. Their relentless movement and unpredictable attack patterns were frustrating.

"These guys are tanky as hell! Come on!" Endo gritted his teeth as he mistimed an attack and lost a heart.

His first attempt at clearing the room was a disaster. The Darknuts overwhelmed him, and he barely managed to escape with a single heart left. On his second attempt, he tried using bombs to damage them, but he mistimed the explosions and wasted several bombs without landing solid hits. After three more deaths, he finally found a strategy—positioning himself in corners, baiting them into vulnerable angles, and striking at just the right moment. It was slow, methodical work, but it paid off. After what felt like an eternity, he cleared the room and moved forward, sweat dripping down his forehead.

He pushed through the dungeon, solving puzzles and collecting keys. Along the way, he encountered Wallmasters—giant disembodied hands that lunged at him, threatening to send him back to the dungeon entrance. "No, no, no! I am NOT getting reset!" he shouted, narrowly dodging one before slashing it out of existence.

Eventually, he stumbled upon an item chest in one of the rooms and eagerly opened it.

"What do we have here? Oh! A Magical Boomerang!"

The notification appeared on screen, and Endo tested the new weapon. Unlike the standard boomerang, this one had a longer range and could stun enemies from a distance. "Nice! This is gonna make things easier."

With renewed confidence, he pushed deeper into the dungeon. The final room held the boss—a monstrous, segmented creature known as Dodongo. Unlike Aquamentus, this boss wasn't as aggressive, but it had a trick—normal sword attacks didn't work. Endo tried slashing at it, only for his blade to bounce off uselessly.

"Wait... bombs!" Endo realized. He quickly switched his inventory and placed a bomb directly in Dodongo's path. The massive creature inhaled the explosion and staggered back. "Oh, I see how this works!" he muttered, carefully timing another bomb. Two more explosions later, the beast collapsed, and the second Triforce piece appeared on screen.

"YES! Two down, six to go!" Endo cheered, pumping his fist in the air. His journey was far from over, but with each victory, he felt more immersed in the adventure. ᴛhis chapter is ᴜpdated by 𝙣𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙡•𝙛𝙞𝙧𝙚•𝙣𝙚𝙩
