"Hmm?"
I tilt my head in confusion, this person didn't even lift the hood that covers his/her face.
"W-we're sorry..."
It just like that and then he/she run following the party again.
We come back inside the store and back to our meal.
"Erwin, please don't scare me like that"
I can see clearly uncle Alto's worrying, what would happen if that spikey haired guy actually defeats me, maybe he actually will rob our entire belongings for sure.
"I'm sorry for that uncle, I don't know an adventurer can be that rude, I met some in the past and they all nice people, not like that spikey haired guy"
I continue eating my meat steak, but it's already cold but I will try to eat it anyways.
"[sigh..] Just don't do that again"
Uncle Alto also continues on eating his food again, then the store owner comes to our table.
"That was good one kid, so Alto didn't just making up the story, here Alto, my treat"
He brings two glasses of beer to our table and gives one to uncle and cheers with him.
"So where you two are going to?"
"To capital, I just want Erwin to go through this winter safely"
"Wait, your house in that village near the south forest right?"
"Uh-huh"
I finished up my meal and join in the conversation.
"I heard that there was an increasing number of the magical beast in the forest, but the south forest got the highest increase reported, I heard it from people that come back from there"
"Yea, I saw it myself"
That must be yesterday when uncle said he went to the forest to save me or something, I finished my drink too and went to wash my hand.
"Errmm... I'm sorry, are you a magician?"
A middle-aged looking man is approaching me while I'm washing my hand, he looks kinda sad and he also got an "I will wager on my luck to this kid" expression.
I control the water and wash it away to dry my hand, he looked amazed when I did that.
"I'm not an actual magician, I just learn some magic to help my big sister"
"But can you help me? my village is in trouble"
"Sir, I guess you should've asked that to the adventurers, I heard that they're willing to do any kind of jobs, like being a guardian or this kind of job as long as there are payments"
When I look at his face, he looks not too happy with my answer, but I'm not an actual magician like I only practice all by myself at home.
"I'm coming from west and travel to look for someone who's willing to help my village from the magical beast attack, we lost some villagers already"
I can see tears coming down from his eyes but then he quickly wipes it and leave.
"I'm sorry for bothering you"
He leaves me and comes back to the table with some people and he talks to them, they look down and then they all left the store after leaving some money in the storefront.
"Thank you for coming.."
The store owner just sits on our table and keeps drinking with uncle Alto, they both look like they're tolerant of alcoholic drinks or something.
"What are those guys are up to?"
It looks like uncle Alto saw me with the guy earlier and have a talk.
"No, just he said that they're coming from the west and looking for people to help them from the magical beast"
I sit back to my seat and there was another orange juice in the table, I look at it and look at the store owner.
"Don't worry, it's free"
He looks like he knows I'm confused at first, I take it and drink it slowly to enjoy it.
"So why are you sending this kid to Rosaku's place?"
"Rosaku-san wanted to meet Erwin after I tell him a story that Erwin actually able to learn magic in a short time, his sister said it herself, and Erwin also wanted to meet Rosaku-san, don't you Erwin?"
"Yeah.. I wanted to thank him for the books he gave"
"Hmm... but that Rosaku is honestly kinda weird guy, just don't get involved with him too much"
Uncle Alto and the store owner finished their drink and I also finished it.
"Let's go now shall we?"
Uncle Alto leaves the payment to the store owner and we leave the store.
"Just be careful and I hope you won't encounter any robbers"
The store owner waving at us while we're leaving the store and I just smile and nod at him, then we back to get the horse carriage, I wait for uncle Alto to talk to the inn's owner, he said he wants to say thanks and then we leave the village.
