The perspective suddenly rushed downward.
Overflowing rivers, laden with silt, washed over the banks, and ancient priests prostrated themselves before an altar, devoutly bowing toward the idol on the altar in prayer, followed by countless ragged ancient humans below who sought the gods’ grace.
