The easiest way was to use a magic stone, with a few runes it was possible to use a magic stone as a search tool. To be used directly as a search tool, the stone would also help to open a flatlock.
Atlas was going to take this route, he had a crate full of powerful magic stones, and he really didn't need them at the moment. He was capable of using a maximum of a third-grade spell, and that was only because of the huge mass of mana in his body, he didn't even have a single magic ring at the moment.
This meant that a seventh-grade magic stone, which could add mana to the body or create other items, was currently a piece of rubbish to him.
So he could sacrifice one, and who knows, this dungeon could be a means for him to gain a magic stone.
"Ah...someone else looking for the dead tree, the last time they came here was last year, young man." said the voice from inside the shop. It was a nice yet ancient voice.
Atlas gently entered and then saw an elf in front of him. The elf's gaze was incredibly tired, but this male elf looked incredibly beautiful, even with his tired gaze and the fact that he was showing his age.
"I apologise, sir, I didn't mean to disturb you, I just came to do some research for my teacher," Atlas said suddenly.
Hearing this, the elf shook his head and said, "It is at the other end of the village, there is no land around it, so it will not be a problem, just be careful."
Atlas nodded as if he understood and then left the market and started walking again.
After a short time, he saw that the elf had come to the place he said. The density of the huge trees had increased and it was really easy to see the dead among them.
As Atlas approached the tree, he could instantly recognise the chilling sensation coming from it. A very dark spell had been cast on this tree, and he refused to believe that he was the only one who had noticed it because he had never heard anything about it before.
As he approached the tree, he took out a carving knife and a magic stone from his magic bag. On the spell stone, he carved the letter [K] and a circle to cover the letter.
After that, he placed the magic stone right in front of the tree and took a few steps backwards and immediately reached his hand towards the magic stone, at that moment he uttered the following words:
"Oh dear god Iacchus see what I see and unlock the mysteries that lay down before my eyes."
As he uttered these words, the rune on the stone suddenly came to life and the spell immediately enveloped the tree full of black magic that was placed in front of it.
Immediately after this, a passage was formed in front of the tree. This passage was the very passage that opened the entrance to the secret dungeon.
After a quick check of himself and the contents of his magic bag, Atlas saw that he was ready and immediately entered the dungeon.
When he entered the dungeon, an ominous feeling came over him, the atmosphere was really dirty. There were skeletons of what seemed to be different races and hundreds of drawings on the walls of the dungeon.
There were already sounds coming from the other parts of the dungeon, growling sounds coming closer and closer.
Atlas reached straight for the knife at his waist and pulled it out. He also remembered to take his small wand out of his magical bag, the thing that could help him the most at the moment.
In just a few seconds he had cast dozens of empowerment spells on himself. His current rank did not give him enough power to cast silent spells, which was enough to tell him that he had to do something with the empowerment spell and the knife in his hand.
He had fought over a million monsters in his lifetime, and he knew that this monster sound belonged to goblins, which meant that progress in this dungeon was quite easy.
Goblins were extremely stupid creatures, even the phrase 'no brains' could have been said about them. This made them the easiest monsters to fight. Even an incredibly weak slime was smarter than a goblin.
Immediately after strengthening his body, he began to move forward. It was moving forward with very calm, patient and determined steps.
With each passing second, the growling sounds increased and the shadows formed by the lights inside the dungeon began to grow.
After almost ten empty seconds of progress, Atlas encountered the first monster he had seen since his return.
Immediately, without thinking, he lunged forward and then, with a single thrust, slit the goblin's throat before it could even realise him.
The goblin held its throat for a few seconds and then collapsed to the ground and died on the spot.
The lush green blood from the goblin had already begun to pool on the ground.
At that moment, something Atlas had never expected had happened.
"Again?" questioned Atlas. Before his eyes, one of the windows that had helped him find the seventh-grade magic stones had appeared again.
But this time something was different. This time the windows were presenting him with a strange sensation, one that would be fairly easy to explain.
