Over a hundred vehicles of the Survivor Caravan circle the train, forming a defensive formation. Looking out, a dark mass looms, creating a feeling of impending battle in the air.
Buzz, on the horizon, mysterious lights flicker.
It’s as if the world’s curtain is drawn down by a wave of darkness, the horizon, once under the glow of the sunset, is instantly covered by the black night!
In a flash, everyone’s breath halts for a moment.
Lin Xian stands in the cockpit, his gaze fixed ahead.
In each carriage, each team is on high alert.
All around is silence, only the sound of insects and wind whistling, with the dry treetops rustling endlessly.
The Mechanical Heart runs through the entire train. Surprisingly, the anticipated Abnormal Body assault hasn’t occurred; everything remains as quiet as before.
"What’s going on? Could it be that there are no Abnormal Bodies in this area?" Chen Sixuan whispers, holding the Meteor 3 that Lin Xian made for her.
"That’s possible." Lin Xian looks around, his expression very serious, "But I’m more worried about another situation."
As he speaks, he glances at Chen Sixuan, who immediately understands his meaning. They both head towards car number 3.
If there’s no Abnormal Body attack, apart from sheer luck, it’s also possible that there is a large Abnormal Body in this area, making this its territory!
The two quickly step into car number 3 and gaze at the Hell Black Chrysanthemum.
Ding Junyi stands beside them, "No changes, no overlapping markers."
Lin Xian frowns. Abnormal things always have a reason. This sudden calm feels bizarre, especially given that they carry a Level 3 Dark Mark, making it even more eerie.
Lin Xian picks up the intercom, "Anyone notice anything unusual?"
"Nothing detected for now."
"Brother Lin, nothing."
"Could it be that the dark creatures in this area were attracted away by other survivor teams, or have they been cleared?"
Chen Sixuan’s suggestion provides Lin Xian with a new train of thought.
"That’s certainly a possibility," Ding Junyi also shares her thoughts.
Lin Xian now arrives at car number 2, looking at the exterior surveillance from the information center, but finds nothing.

The infrared night vision surveillance image seems narrower.

"What is this?" Lin Xian points to the black narrow edge next to the image, then switches to an adjacent monitor, and this time, the image’s narrow edge shifts from the left to the right.
Chen Sixuan doesn’t understand, "I don’t see anything?"
"There’s something here."
Lin Xian frowns deeply, speaking in a heavy tone.
He then opens the visor, looking in the direction of that surveillance.
