Then he climbed atop the train, using the vision enhancement system of his Power Armor to survey the snowy mining freight station, with a vast plaza filled with thousands of containers and freight boxes stacked high and covered in snow.
The rail system extended all the way into the foot of the distant mountain, which had been completely sealed off and seemed to have collapsed.
Lin Xian continued to climb a tower crane, looking out to see the surrounding city walls, where the distant skyline still flickered with firelight, though less intensely than when they first arrived. Despite being in the snowstorm, for some reason, Lin Xian felt a strange sense of security for the first time in months.
He had been fleeing alone in the night for so long without feeling this way.
No zombies or Abnormal Bodies had been found in the city so far, with at least thousands of Survivor Caravans gathered inside. Seeing the survivors resting safely in the snowstorm, earlier than them, Lin Xian believed everyone on Infinity or Dragon Mountain No.1 would envy them immensely.
Looking toward the direction of the mine, Lin Xian noticed many freight trains transporting iron ore stopped there, and he breathed a heavy sigh and immediately set off.
Walking against the snowstorm for about ten minutes, several abandoned mine carts appeared in sight, many buried deep in the snow, with only the car bodies protruding above the snow layer.
