Apocalypse: I have a supermarket stocked with supplies Chapter 574

Chapter 574: Wasting is shameful

“You can’t waste it, you know? Wasting is shameful,” Su Yinhe said with a gentle smile.

Lin Murong looked at Su Yinhe, then at the taro bubble milk tea in his hand, feeling utterly trapped.

“But… it’s a bit too sweet.”

It seemed… he probably… couldn’t finish it.

Would he be beaten to death?

Lin Murong silently picked up a helmet from the side and put it on.

Su Yinhe was flabbergasted.

No, where did this helmet come from?

“That helmet of yours…”

“Looks good, right? It’s bash-resistant.” Lin Murong tapped the helmet he was wearing.

Su Yinhe didn’t want to pursue the matter of the helmet. What she cared about was…

“Drink up. Finish it in front of me, OK?”

“No, no, no, I can’t do it. Galaxy, please let me off,” Lin Murong said with a pleading expression, cradling his head in his hands.

“You made it yourself, so you must finish it.” Su Yinhe took out a toy kitchen knife.

Even though it was a toy, its size was similar to that of a real kitchen knife, and it had red stains on it.

Galaxy really could produce any random thing.

“But…” He didn’t want to, whining incessantly.

Just as Lin Murong was trying to soften Su Yinhe’s heart, Chi Yan came back.

As soon as he returned, he saw the milk tea on the table.

With just one glance, he had a good idea of what had just happened.

“Weren’t you already in agreement with me?” Chi Yan was still very gentle with Su Yinhe.

“Oh, Lin Murong went on and on; I couldn’t resist,” Su Yinhe grabbed his hand and shook it.

And with just that shake, Chi Yan softened.

Then the crossfire turned towards Lin Murong, who was ready to flee.

“Where are you going? Just got here and now leaving?” Chi Yan pinned down Lin Murong, who was trying to escape with the helmet on.

“I… have something else,” Lin Murong said, his eyes closed, feeling utterly doomed after being caught by Chi Yan.

“Is this the milk tea you made?” Chi Yan looked at the dozen cups of milk tea that had appeared on the table.

“Yes.” Lin Murong stealthily moved a little to the side.

“Chi Yan, try this.” Su Yinhe picked up the cup she had sipped from and handed it to him.

Chi Yan hesitated for a moment before taking a sip.

“How is it?” The sweetness seemed like something Chi Yan would like.

“Pretty good,” Chi Yan nodded.

Upon hearing this, Su Yinhe breathed a sigh of relief.

Good, good, good, this cup of milk tea wouldn’t go to waste.

Neither would the other ten cups of milk tea.

“Then you finish it. I… can’t.” The sugar content in this cup of milk tea was enough to send her straight to the afterlife.

Su Yinhe even suspected that Lin Murong had made the milk tea not for her but for Chi Yan.

Just thinking of this made Su Yinhe’s expression turn odd.

“Okay,” Chi Yan obediently nodded.

Having found a solution, Su Yinhe was relieved, and Lin Murong, hearing this, was also relieved; he even smiled.

But the next second, Su Yinhe’s words wiped the smile off his face.

“What are you smiling about? There are twelve cups of milk tea, eleven for Chi Yan to take care of. You have to take care of your own cup; you still have to drink it.”

Chi Yan would drink the milk tea Galaxy had sipped from, but not the one he had sipped from.

He still had to deal with it himself.

“Remember, you must finish it,” Su Yinhe reminded warmly.

Murong’s smile collapsed instantly.

“Go for it!” Su Yinhe even gestured a cheering motion to him.

“Then I’ll take it down to drink.” Murong picked up the milk tea; he planned to take it downstairs, add some pure milk to dilute the sweetness.

“No way. You drink it here, while I watch you,” Su Yinhe said gently, though her words were a bit heart-piercing.

“Are you sure?” Murong was near tears.

He wasn’t Chi Yan; he couldn’t handle something so sweet.

Murong now wanted to pour it back and slap himself.

Why did he make such a sweet milk tea?

And now, he had to drink it himself.

“Yep, yep. Come on, drink up.”

Under the watchful eyes of Su Yinhe and Chi Yan, Murong struggled immensely to finish the sickeningly sweet milk tea.

Initially, he sipped it slowly, but later, seemingly struck by some thought, he pinched his nose and downed it in one gulp.

After finishing, he guzzled water like crazy.

“I think I’ve lost my sense of taste now,” Murong said after drinking a whole pot of water, just barely suppressing the cloying sweet taste at the back of his throat.

“It’s okay; your taste will come back soon,” Su Yinhe patted his shoulder, offering a bit of comfort.

“I don’t believe it,” Murong said as he shook his head at her.

Su Yinhe withdrew her hand immediately, with an attitude of ‘believe it or not, I don’t care.’

“Galaxy, why are you ? You have no patience with me at all,” Murong looked at her with eyes full of reproach.

But his reproach only lasted a moment— the next second, he began to hiccup. Check latest chapters at novelfire.net

And then, it was non-stop.

It seemed like Murong was about to kick the bucket any second now.

No matter; he’d probably still live.

The calamity lives a thousand years, right?

Murong made twelve cups of milk tea for Su Yinhe and, in the end, the benefactor wasn’t him or Su Yinhe but Chi Yan.

None of them had expected that.

Chi Yan rather liked these taro and tapioca milk teas; each one suited his palate perfectly.

He really enjoyed them.

Because of these milk teas, the frequency of Chi Yan beating up Murong had significantly decreased lately.

Who knows if this could be considered a stroke of dumb luck or a misfortune.

However, what Murong desired wasn’t this; he sought Su Yinhe’s approval, and he didn’t care about Chi Yan’s opinion of him.

To please Su Yinhe, Murong attempted the taro and tapioca milk tea without success, then pondered over making other types of milk tea, constantly pestering Su Yinhe about what she wanted to drink.

Su Yinhe: “I’m just an ordinary supermarket owner, not worthy of your dogged perseverance.”

“Ordinary? Galaxy, you actually call yourself ordinary? I won’t allow it!”

Su Yinhe sighed in resignation.

“What’s the point of not allowing it? Do I need your permission?”

“Ah? Galaxy, don’t try to make me say tongue twisters. You’re not ordinary at all. You are clearly a… an extraordinary person.”

Great, she got a full sense of Murong’s vocabulary.

“So what kind of milk tea do you want to drink, Galaxy? I’ll make it for you.”

“No need, I’m afraid you’ll poison me,” Su Yinhe said with a smile.

Murong looked at her, his face filled with disappointment.

“Galaxy, how can you be ? I’m so nice to you, yet you doubt my abilities. I’m very disappointed in you,” Murong shook his head and sighed.

Galaxy was too much; even more so than Chi Yan. At least Chi Yan would drink the milk tea he made.

But Galaxy had shown disdain even before he had made it.

Murong expressed his disappointment.

Su Yinhe was somewhat irritated.

“Be disappointed if you want. I don’t care, now off you go,” Su Yinhe began to shoo him away.

“Don’t be like that. I want to make milk tea for you.” He would eventually create a milk tea that tasted even better than the ones made by Chi Yan.
