Chapter 18: Logged Out
Mio was sleeping on the king-sized bed with food and a mess next to it. It was clear she had a lot of fun and slept late.
Axir called the hotel staff to clean the room, as it was already noon.
Taking out his phone, he saw missed calls from Selena.
A grin stretched across his face.
"Don’t worry, I am coming for you."
But before leaving, he woke Mio up.
"Hey, Mio. Wake up a bit."
Mio opened her eyes dizzily.
"Don’t go out alone after you wake up. Your mom will be here after two hours."
"Mhmm..." And then Mio dozed off again.
Axir then called Selena.
[ Selena: You’re finally out. Come to my house quickly. Everyone is here. ]
[ Axir: I’ll be there in a minute. ]
Axir left the hotel and flew away using Rocket Wings.
Selena had a three-floor luxurious house in Tokyo.
Jason and his sister Lexi, as well as Yuta and Kazuo, lived in the same area. Aoi lived in a different area.
Soon, Axir arrived there.
Selena’s parents were inside the game, so the group was chilling in the living room on the sofa.
They were smoking weed, drinking beer, and eating snacks while watching the news.
"Yo! The star is here!" Kazuo cheered with his beer as Axir entered.
"What’s your level now?" Yuta curiously asked.
Jason passed the weed to Axir and made space.
Axir smiled as he took the joint, but instead of sitting on the large sofa, he went toward Selena, lifted her up, sat down, and put her onto his lap, one hand wrapping around her stomach and the other holding the joint.
He passed the joint to Selena and said, "Well, I reached level 38. What did you all do while I was away? I saw you dropped ranks on the level leaderboard."
"Yeah, some players already took the top ten spots." Lexi rolled her eyes.
"Those players must have gotten powerful decks." Aoi clicked her tongue. "We got one 2-star card, but Jason took it."
"Hey, I found the quest for it." Jason snorted.
"Chill. We can get more cards and decks as we play. We are going to get one more the next time we log in and complete a quest," Selena said as she passed the joint and turned to Axir. "We found a dungeon, but unfortunately, we got wiped out. It was an elite level 30 dungeon."
"Yeah, I kind of leaned on a rock covered with vines, but it turned out to be a secret passage, so I fell inside and found it." Kazuo grinned. "I got ten extra stat points."
’Oh, he found that one. Lucky idiot stole my ten stat points.’
That elite dungeon was in the forest straight in front of the Suryax Kingdom Capital. It was the starting level 20 to 30 area for players.
"That’s good. We can clear it tomorrow." Axir nodded.
"Yeah, with Axir, it will be a piece of cake." Aoi grinned.
"That said, Axir, how powerful are you?" Selena curiously asked as she moved closer.
Axir pecked her lips and smiled. "Very powerful. I am the strongest man on Earth."
Jason chuckled with a wry smile. "The fact that it is true makes it comical. With this change in the world, you are literally the strongest man right now."
"Boss Axir, you have to stay ready and raring," Kazuo said with a serious face. "There are freaks out there who are already strong, but in the game, they get even stronger. Those players who overtook us on the leveling leaderboards are definitely those freaks."
"Maybe. Those professional fighters and such also need luck to get a strong deck if they want to get ahead early. However, I believe there will still be changes in the leaderboard, since truly strong players will replace the early leaders later," Jason said.
Axir smiled. "Yeah, that’s true. It’s just the first day, so we have yet to see hidden dragons and crouching tigers emerging."
’But I am not going to get replaced, if that’s what you meant, you little shit. Better get used to seeing my name at the top rank in all leaderboards.’
Of course, what Jason said was also true.

Axir laughed. "It’s fine. Here, take a look."
Everyone saw his status and was dumbfounded.
"Forty thousand power level? Holy crap, what the fuck?" Yuta cursed out loud as he jumped.
Everyone was shocked.
"T-This... even the level 50 monster we saw had less than twenty thousand power level..." Jason stammered.
"How? Did you get a strong deck while you were away all those hours?" Aoi asked, her eyes sparkling.
Axir smiled.
Everyone stared at him.
Naturally, he wasn’t going to expose his Shivanta Sunborn Artist Deck, but he could show its power.
"Take a look."
Axir snapped his fingers.
Above him, ten weapons appeared, floating and circulating clockwise.
"Holy shit!"
"Wow. What are those weapons?"
"A slingshot, and what’s that exotic sniper rifle?"
"Damn."
Selena curiously asked, "Is this the power of your new deck or something else?"
"It’s my new deck. Basically, I can generate weapons, and each weapon has an exotic flame core that gives it special effects. And the fact that I can give them to others to wield is the cherry on top." Axir grinned as he waved his hand, using Mana to manipulate the weapons and move them toward Yuta, Aoi, Lexi, Kazuo, and Jason.
"Don’t use anything here like idiots. Especially you, Kazuo," Selena said.
"Chill. I shan’t do anything."
"By the way, there are many groups of players coming online, posting videos and stuff," Axir said. "I was checking my phone and saw it. However, you all shouldn’t go meet up with other players."
Axir’s eyes glinted as he continued. "Not everyone is bad, but there might be players who hunt others. Crimes are already increasing."
"True. Things are becoming chaotic."
"Drones have been flying all over Tokyo for six hours. Governments all over the world are pulling out all the stops."
"Of course they have to. The world is literally changing. It’s a foundational change, so everyone is pulling out all the stops and focusing on Infinite Breaker Online and keeping things in order on Earth."
Axir took back his weapons and stood up, carrying Selena like a princess.
"Anyway, I am pretty bored, so Selena and I are going on a date." Axir smiled as a card appeared before him. "Adios."
Axir vanished as he used Self-Domain: Librated Drift, appearing outside the house, then vanished again, crossing a hundred meters upward before using Rocket Wings to fly.
"Fuck, did he get a teleport or something like that in his new deck?" Yuta exclaimed in shock.
"That would be crazy." Kazuo’s eyes widened.
Aoi blinked. "Wait, if he has teleport, doesn’t that mean he can reach places where people normally can’t reach? And he already had Rocket Wings..."
"Basically, if anyone can make us shine brighter, it’s him." Lexi grinned as she looked at Jason. "We’d better feed him honey and hug his thighs until we no longer need him."
"I’ll suck his balls," Kazuo clenched his fist, his eyes filled with resolve.
"So gross," Aoi said in disgust. "Sockless idiot."
"She means it’s her that should be sucking his balls, not you." Yuta snickered.
"Your mom!" Aoi shouted, then paused and pouted, her red eyes glaring. "Sucked your dog’s balls!"
"..."
"She is high."
"Anyway, let’s go out and roam. Let’s see what people are doing." Jason got up. "We are pretty strong anyway, as we are within the top twenty on the whole Earth. We don’t need to be afraid of random players."
