Wang Gang also realized that there was someone nearby. He turned around and saw Li Ran.
Despite already knowing the answer, Wang Gang narrowed his eyes and asked, “Do you have a means of transportation?”
“Big brother, there’s no need to talk more nonsense with them. We’ve already looked through this place. Before this, there was no one or any vehicles around. They must have a means of transportation.”
Yang Shao could not be bothered to play charades here, so he directly said what was on his mind.
Li Ran overheard everything. She was also shocked by Wang Gang’s figure. After realizing that he was human, she simply smiled without uttering a word.

“Where are you going? Are you still looking for food?”
Wang Gang could not even be bothered to roll his eyes at Yang Shao. This kid really deserved a slap!
Li Ran looked at the two of them and was a little scared. She mustered up all her courage and said to Wang Gang, “No, you guys can have the food.”
“There’s no food here. This is the last place where you should be searching for food. As you can see, it’s empty,” Wang Gang said truthfully.
He knew that his presence had heavily pressured the other party, but there was nothing he could do about it. He could only speak in a gentle tone and be careful with his words.
“Thank you. Then we’ll be leaving.” Li Ran replied with a smile.
However, she underestimated how thick-skinned they were, especially the young man.
Yang Shao stepped forward and said with a smile, “Don’t worry. I won’t do anything that will harm you. If you’re afraid of this burly man, then just bring me with you. I won’t take up much space.”
When Li Ran heard this, a troubled expression appeared on her face. She said with a bitter smile, “I’m sorry, there are still other people in the car. There’s not enough space.”
Zhao Ying did not want them to tag along either.
Although she could tell that the man was trying his best to be friendly, she felt tense and uncomfortable around them.
“It’s okay. I’ll just sit in the trunk. I’m thin enough. It won’t be a problem!” Yang Shao said and began to walk out of the supermarket. He did not want to stay in this messy place where food was scarce. Even the air felt stuffy.
Li Ran did not know what to do. She could only stand and stare at the couple.
When they all left the supermarket, Yang Shao was already leaning against Li Ran’s car. He could not wait to get in. There was not a single trace of politeness in his attitude.
Wang Gang followed closely behind and ridiculed the young man, “He’s always like this. He has no shame. It’s how he ended up following me. You just can’t get rid of him.”
Upon a closer look at Li Ran’s car, Wang Gang clicked his tongue in wonder.
“It’s really rare to see such a superb and clean car in our current situation. It’s new, right?”
Yang Shao had noticed it too. He rubbed his nose and decided that it was time to introduce himself.
“My name is Yang Shao. I was a university student. I don’t have any skills and I reckon that I won’t be of much use. The only thing I’m good at is eating. That guy’s name is Wang Gang. He was a special forces soldier who had to retire early. He’s quite strong and is good at combat.”
Then he added, “He may look fierce, but he’s an old softie. You’ll see once you spend enough time with him.”
When Wang Gang heard Yang Shao’s description of him, he immediately went up to the boy and wanted to give him a violent beating! However, Li Ran chuckled and that interrupted his plan.
‘This university student must have worked as a salesman before. He has a way with his words and is quite thick-skinned.’
One by one, they all introduced themselves.
After learning that Gu Jin and Zhao Ying were celebrities, Yang Shao’s eyes lit up. He slapped his thigh excitedly and shouted, “I recognize the two of you! The show you guys starred in was pretty good. Unfortunately, all the controversy ruined the ratings.”
Gu Jin smiled awkwardly. He tried to explain, “It was all fake news. We have already gathered evidence and were ready to defend ourselves. Sadly, the apocalypse happened before we could do anything.”
Zhao Ying could not help but sigh after listening to Gu Jin.
