"Of course it was after we kowtowed to the statue of the ancestor to show our respect and....I get what you mean now.
The owner of this cave is indeed unusual. Who opens a door by kowtowing?" Chu Hao finally understood what his sister was trying to say.
"Yes, we know how to open the door to the stairwell, so to open this door we need..." Chu Miao was glad that her brother’s brain finally came online and tried to tell him to try another way to open the door when he interrupted her mid-sentence.
"Could it be that we have to kowtow to the door again to open it?" Chu Hao continued to ask.
Chu Miao felt her spirit wither like an old rose. Why had she even thought that he had started thinking like a normal person?
But, talking about kowtowing to a door, the person who created this place probably had the same brain as her brother. They sure had the same unusual gene in their DNA.
"I don’t think kowtowing to a door would work. It probably worked before because we were paying respect to our ancestors and that was how the whole thing was set.
Take a look at the hilt of those two swords carved on the door. Don’t you think they look familiar?" She tried to be as patient as possible because this was her only beloved brother.
When this was mentioned, Chu Hao took some time to examine the swords carved on the door thoroughly and indeed found them familiar.
To be exact, they had the same kind of pattern found on the hilt of his grandfather’s ’demon slayer’.
"Could it be that this door needs blood to open the same way grandpa awakened his sword before?" He asked as he looked at the swords closely.
"I believe so. And I also suspect that the only blood that can open the door is that of the Chu family. We have to have a direct blood relation to the owner of the cave." Chu Miao gave her opinion depending on the circumstances surrounding the appearance of the statue and opening of the door to the staircase.
"Then what are we waiting for? Let’s open the door and see what’s so special it needs blood to be accessed." Chu Hao said as he took a dagger from his space ring and cut his finger.
He placed the bleeding finger on the pattern on the hilt of the sword and dripped his blood on it.
Chu Miao followed suit and cut her finger then placed it on the hilt of the other carved sword and blood started to drip on the pattern.
Soon, the place around the swords started to glow. The light was dim at first and almost unnoticeable, however, as more blood seeped into the swords, the light became brighter and started to spread.
It spread from the swords outwards towards the other parts of the door.
What was surprising was that the small wound on their fingers didn’t clot and kept bleeding until the entire door lit up like a Christmas tree.
At the same time, the wound stopped bleeding. Chu Miao took the bottle of spiritual spring water and sprinkled some of the water on her wound before doing the same for her brother.
The wounds closed almost immediately.
They turned towards the door and found that the light shining on it had disappeared. They tried to push it, and like a miracle, the door opened on one side.
Looking inside, the place was as bright as day just like the cave above. The siblings walked inside and found themselves in a large hall.
The hall was empty, save for a small pond in the middle with crystal clear water. What was noticeable was that the pond was made using the same clear stones that surrounded the bed inside the cave.
Chu Miao still couldn’t tell what that stone was. It was obviously not a normal spirit stone and neither was it jade.
"Is this the spring water?" Chu Hao asked as he could also feel the fluctuations coming from the pond.
It was just that the spiritual energy fluctuations here were more intense.
"Probably, but it looks like it’s more potent. Also, there is no outlet in the pond. So, this is not the source of the spiritual spring water.
However, they probably come from the same source." Chu Miao said.
She walked to the side of the pond and squatted down.
She dipped her hand into the pond and circulated her cultivation technique unconsciously. She could feel pure spiritual energy entering her body and heading straight to her dantian.
There was no need to refine it first as it was so pure that no impurity could be found in it.
After realizing the importance of the pond, Chu Miao stopped absorbing the spiritual energy and stood up. Also she had only absorbed it for a couple of minutes, she could feel that the spiritual energy in her dantian had somehow changed.
It looked like the spiritual energy in the pond was not only purer, but it also helps to purify the energy stored in the dantian as well.
"This is not just water, it’s pure spiritual energy. It also helps purify the energy in the dantian." Chu Miao told her findings to her brother who was standing beside her and watching what she was doing.
"So, can we take it with us? The others at home could also benefit by purifying their energy." Chu Hao asked because he thought that having the entire family improve together would lessen the burden on others when outside.
"I don’t know if it would lose its effect if it leaves this place. I think it’s better to bring them here and all of us can soak together in the pond.
This way, we can absorb the spiritual energy together and everyone will get an opportunity to purify their spiritual energy.
