The two motor boats shuttled through the rain heading to a remote street about five kilometers away with small shops.
The streets used to have buildings where people from middle-class level opened small businesses such as grocery stores, convenience stores, and pharmacies.
Even though there were boutiques and other shops selling daily necessities, most of them served nearby neighbors. For this reason, these shops, though small, had a range of goods with wide varieties.
They chose this place because it was a little remote and many people who had been looking for supplies before chose to go to big convenience stores and malls.
Because of the limited amount of supplies in such shops with limited space, many assumed that they wouldn’t get what they needed there.
However, Chu Miao and her group were looking for food and water, making such shops a small gold mine.
As the boats moved forward, Chu Miao saw some movement at a distance. Even though they weren’t heading that way, she still stretched her spiritual power like tentacles and approached the place she saw the movement.
Probing lightly, she was astonished to discover that there was a fish inside the water. She wouldn’t have been shocked if it was just a regular fish, after all, with all the flooding, it was normal that some fish pond might have been destroyed and all the fishes escaped to this place.
The issue was that the fish was about six feet long, almost the height of a fully grown man. What was more, the scales seemed to shimmer even in the water as if coated by something valuable or poisonous.
She wasn’t sure which one. She continued to observe and as the boat moved further away the fish suddenly jumped out of the water and caught a bat flying above it.
It jumped about two meters above the water surface and the moment it opened its mouth to capture the bat, Chu Miao saw the sharp rows of teeth that looked like they had been sharpened with cold metal.
Even though Chu Miao had seen big fish before, such as sharks, she could tell that this fish was different. Moreover, from the energy fluctuation, it had clearly mutated.
It might have been an ordinary fish weighing ten pounds before, but because of the mutation, it was now a deadly creature.
"Keep your senses about you. There are fish in the water and it looks like something is wrong with them. They look like they could swallow a human whole. So, stay alert." Chu Miao warned everyone so that they could stay vigilant.
Truth be told, everyone had thought that since the water was so high, zombies couldn’t get to them, so they had been relaxed. But it looks like there were dangers everywhere.

"We do." The new members replied in unison.
Of course she knew that Ye Xuan and her brother had suitable weapons so she wasn’t asking them.
"Alright, fight like you are fighting your last battle. These fish are definitely not ordinary. They should be quite strong. Probably all level two mutated fish and maybe even a level three.

The few of them were caught off guard by some water columns that shot straight at them with the momentum of a hammer.

This was an attack of a level two mutated animal, so of course it was still lethal. Especially, for the three new members with low level superpowers or no powers at all.
