Suddenly, Zhang Yuan’s high-pitched voice came from the bathroom. Chen Li was taken aback and couldn’t help but glance at her mother. She hurriedly asked, ‘We’re not waiting for you?’
‘No need to wait for us, just eat.’

‘Okay.’
Hearing this answer, Chen Li nearly missed a beat. Ignoring her burning ears, she went to the kitchen, took an extra bowl, and filled them with food under the expectant gaze of her daughter, covering the leftovers with a plate.
After serving herself a bit of food, Chen Li’s mother took her plate and quietly went back into the bedroom to eat. Once the food for Yinyin was ready and Chen Li had given her the go-ahead to eat, Yinyin started to devour her meal happily.
Chen Li also smiled as she ate with her daughter. Once they were done, and the dishes were washed, Chen Li, seeing that the bathroom door was still closed, tidied up the chairs and took her daughter to the bathroom in the bedroom to bathe.
A while later, Chen Li’s mother also tidied up the bathroom again before returning to her own room and closing the door.
Another half hour passed by.
When Li Ming came out and saw that there was no one around, he gestured for Zhang Yuan to join him. Zhang Yuan ran quickly to their bedroom to dry herself off and change into a loose white top and shorts before heading upstairs to the lounge to eat.
‘All your fault, now Chen Li must be laughing at us.’
As she lifted the plate covering the dishes, Zhang Yuan looked at the closed door of the second-floor bedroom, sat on Li Ming’s lap, her face red, and complained to him.

Li Ming laughed and stroked Zhang Yuan’s leg. Zhang Yuan nodded, blushing. She then realized her position was making eating difficult for Li Ming, so she moved to the stool next to him, but her legs remained in his lap as she devoured her meal.
The plate full of dishes satisfied the hungry Li Ming, and the famished Zhang Yuan also ate happily. After the meal, she asked Li Ming to take a bath first while she cleaned up. Li Ming didn’t object; he went upstairs to clean himself up first.
As soon as he walked out of the bathroom, he saw Zhang Yuan clad in a white shirt and climbing the stairs. Li Ming smiled and gestured towards the bathroom.
