Once Bai Meiyue finished speaking, she ended the call. This was because Bai Meiyue knew that if she continued talking with her mother, she would make more mistakes. Since she could not tell her mothers and brothers about the end of the world, she could only make use of her current situation and make her mother and brothers worry and pity her.
As long as she left them in suspense, they would definitely rush to the city as soon as possible. At the same time, with her crying , her mother would definitely sell most of the land and only keep a part for herself.

Just after paying, Bai Meiyue walked out of the restaurant and was stunned for a moment. There was a customised vehicle parked in front of the restaurant, with a windshield and the rest of the windows made of bulletproof glass. Even the body of the car was similar to that of a tank.
She glanced at the man who was standing in front of the car; he was dressed in a dark midnight blue three-piece suit, with his long hair tied in a loose braid and golden frame glasses hanging loosely on the bridge of his nose.
What was he doing here? Bai Meiyue frowned.
Seeing Bai Meiyue coming over, Lei Qian smiled in an embarrassed manner. He straightened up his spine and walked over to her.
"It's good that you came out. I was thinking about going inside and taking a look."
"How did you find out that I am here? Why did you come looking for me?" Bai Meiyue asked with a frown. The last thing she wanted was this man to awaken stalker tendencies.
Lei Qian cleared his throat. He knew what Bai Meiyue was thinking and immediately cleared the air, "I am not stalking you. I was driving past this restaurant and saw you, so I stopped to talk to you."
"Why? Did you bring me the money?" Bai Meiyue asked. Her eyes brightened when she thought about getting her hands on her life saving money.
Lei Qian's heart fell in his stomach. He sighed and said to Bai Meiyue, "Do you know that the news that you smashed the head of a woman in your previous company was almost sold to a magazine?"
"It was?" Bai Meiyue narrowed her eyes. Aha, she gave Lu Ling a chance to redeem himself but a stinky dog only knows how to eat shit even when the most refined delicacy was placed in front of him.
He could have chosen a peaceful life for a few days but he just had to pick death!
She would make sure to even out this grievance.
Bai Meiyue's frown deepened before she said to Lei Qian, "There is no need to worry about it. I will take care of it."
"There is no need. I took care of this matter for you; not only did I stop the magazine from posting the news, I also made sure that Lu Ling will not make any trouble for you," a shy look appeared on Lei Qian's face. However, a second later he became worried and said to Bai Meiyue, "But I am worried that this matter is not going to end so easily. Chen Yuya's family is still making a fuss. They want to send you to prison; her father happens to be one of my clients so I suppressed him into giving up for now. But you should still be careful; maybe they will try to make a move on you when I am not paying attention."
"Thank you," though Bai Meiyue could have taken care of this matter, since Lei Qian helped her, she was polite enough to thank him.
"No, there is no need." Lei Qian straightened up a bit more when he heard Bai Meiyue thank him.
Bai Meiyue rolled her eyes. She was only being polite and courteous by saying thank you.
"So, did you bring the money?" She asked again.
"You are really cruel, Miss Bai. Can't we hold a discussion without talking about money?"
Bai Meiyue blinked her eyes as she tilted her head to one side and remarked, "If not for money, do you think I would be talking to you?"
Lei Qian: "...." Thank you, I am touched.
