While Dacheng was satisfied, Lu Yin was not. She was staring at Lei Qian, who was taking care of Bai Meiyue with a reluctant look on her face; she really couldn't accept the sight in front of her and hated Bai Meiyue even more.
Why!? Why was Lei Qian so good to Bai Meiyue? What was so good about that cold-faced woman who didn't even take a look at him? She was waiting for him right here and yet!
"Ah Yin, here." Lu Yu knew what was going on in the head of his sister and sighed. He couldn't understand why Lu Yin had to pine over just Lei Qian. He had given his sister a lot of advice but she was like a stubborn mule. She had never listened to a word that he said to her. Which made Lu Yu wonder if his sister even listened to him.
While Lu Yu was lost in his thoughts, he didn't even notice. Lu Yin turned her head and looked at him with a hint of disgust in her eyes. Even though Lu Yu also awakened as an ability user, he was neither as strong nor as capable as Lei Qian.
If only Lu Yu had turned the situation around and become stronger than Lei Qian, then she could have suppressed that man and made him marry her. But no! Even after the world turned upside down, her brother was still a weak, submissive lackey of Lei Qian.
She never stopped to think that Lu Yu was just as strong as Lei Qian and that the only reason he was willing to submit under Lei Qian was not because the latter was stronger than him but because he treated him as his friend!
After dinner, everyone returned to their homes while Bai Meiyue went back to her room. Earlier, when she was hunting zombies, she had collected a few good things from various shops. One of these shops used to sell handbags.
Though these handbags were worthless in the eyes of her and the rest of the survivors, Bai Meiyue was sure that someone would find them attractive. With so many patrons on the Barter system, Bai Meiyue was sure that she would find someone who would be willing to buy these handbags from her.
Humming softly, she returned to her room, where she could finally press the request option.
As soon as Bai Meiyue opened the request panel, a small box appeared in front of her. Bai Meiyue didn't know how to use this box but she knew that this was where she needed to put her request.
She immediately filled in the key words and then took a quick look over the request that she had put in.
[Barter Request for seafood in exchange for crocodile skin bags. If anyone is up for it, please accept the request as soon as possible.]
Short, concise and straight to the point, unlike the other barter hosts, Bai Meiyue didn't wish to bother to keep the barter an exchange. She would straightforwardly tell what she was handing out to avoid trouble.
Soon after Bai Meiyue posted the barter request, it didn't take long for someone to accept it. The one who accepted the request was Dong Lin farmhouse.
"Hello, good day." The woman who appeared in front of her was wearing a rustic, nineties dress. Her black hair was straight and her eyes were slightly curved upwards as she was smiling at Bai Meiyue.
"Hello," Bai Meiyue nodded at the woman and asked, "Do you want to exchange crocodile skin bags for seafood? If so, what kind of seafood do you have?"
The woman's kind smile didn't falter as she took out a small list that she was carrying with her. She placed the list right in front of Bai Meiyue and said to her, "this is the seafood that we usually sell. Don't worry about the freshness, as we live close to the ocean; thus, the seafood caught by my husband is really fresh and authentic."
"We don't breed the seafood at home, which is why all the game that we catch is not only fresh but also wild."
Bai Meiyue looked at the list that the woman had handed her and carefully looked at it. There were fish, shrimp, shellfish, crab, squid and sea vegetables, along with some frozen seafood.
That wasn't all. There was also lobsters, white shrimp, black tiger shrimp and abalone, along with shark fins.
There was also a list of many seafood snacks. Like spicy crayfish, garlic scallops, squid tentacles, seaweed and shrimp cakes. Grilled eel and lemon salmon, along with a few more dishes.
Bai Meiyue nodded with satisfaction. She silently swallowed; it was not her fault. In her past life, after the zombie apocalypse, the entire world turned upside down; from dogs to cats, everything mutated. Even the seafood was not spared and everything turned into a monstrous creature.
Once, Bai Meiyue did try to eat a fish that she caught, but the taste of that fish was too fishy. And without any condiments in her hands, it was nearly impossible for Bai Meiyue to finish that fish.
However, she was starving back then. In the end, Bai Meiyue gritted her teeth and ate that mutated fish.
But after that, she never tried to eat those mutated fish. After missing the taste of good seafood, how could Bai Meiyue not be excited to get her hands on it?
She suppressed her greed and raised her head to look at the woman before saying to her, "I want these three things at the moment." She pointed at the salmon, shrimp and grilled eel.
Though she wanted spicy crayfish as well, Bai Meiyue knew that she could only ask for a certain amount of seafood for the time being. If she wanted to mass order, then she needed to open the fifth level; only then would she be able to order things in bulk. For now, she could only think of a way to add Dong Lin to her contact list and arrange for small orders later on.
