While the entire corridor was filled with chaos, the survivors rushed towards the room where the doctors and nurses treated patients. They ran inside in the hope that they would get their hands on something, only to be caught by Yang Chunhua and the rest of the team.
Bai Jixuan caught hold of the woman who was trying to steal a young girl from the room where the orphans lived and slapped her on the face before dragging her out of the room. He knew what the woman had planned, and it disgusted him to the core. He controlled the mutated ants that were wriggling on the second floor and set them on the survivors, who fell into even more chaos when the large ants started to bite them.
On the other side, Bai Meiyue charged at Bai Xue, who was being protected by Bai Feng. All of a sudden, she was back in the past, where Bai Xue kept telling her that she should abort her son. She was afraid that the child would make Bai Meiyue slow, so she wanted the child to disappear from the world such that Bai Meiyue could take care of the Bai family better.
Back then, Bai Meiyue was stupid enough to believe that Bai Xue only cared about her health and was saying such things because she was worried that Bai Meiyue would fall sick, but now that Bai Meiyue knew the truth, she was filled with rage.
Bai Xue also wanted to trip Bai Meiyue and make her fall such that the child in her belly would be gone in one swift move. Thus, the two women circled one another while looking for an opening. Bai Xue thought that she had Bai Feng's backing and thus she was not scared of Bai Meiyue.
However, what she didn't notice was that because of the survivors pushing and tugging at her, she was dragged quite far from Bai Feng. This was what Bai Meiyue was waiting for. The second the woman was away from Bai Feng, she rushed towards her like a woman on a mission.
Bai Xue sensed that something was amiss when she was hit by the full-blown impact of Bai Meiyue's murderous intent. She shivered and looked around, only to see that Bai Feng was away from her. Sensing that she was caught in a troublesome situation, Bai Xue turned on her feet and rushed towards Bai Feng; she was worried that Bai Meiyue would catch her and kill her.
Seeing that Bai Xue was running away, Bai Meiyue ran after her and caught her by the neck before tackling her to the floor.
She took advantage of the situation and sat down on Bai Xue's torso before slapping her several times on the face. "You dare to target my child! Go to hell!" She strangled Bai Xue by clutching her around the neck. She didn't even let go of Bai Xue when her face turned pale and then purple. She was so scared that she let out a stream of yellow liquid!
When Bai Feng saw that Bai Meiyue was about to kill Bai Xue. He immediately rushed to where the two women were tangled. He sent a small electric spark to warn Bai Meiyue but not hurt her. Only for the woman to block it with an ice shield.
She turned and looked at Bai Feng before saying angrily, "Bai Feng! You are quick to save this wicked woman, but why didn't you stop her when she was calling my child an evil seed, a bastard and saying that he needed to be killed? How many times do I have to tell you that the favours you have done for me are not enough for this woman! Even if you want to protect her, you need to see if she is worth it!"
Bai Feng's heart was torn apart when he saw the hatred surging in Bai Meiyue's eyes. He knew that he was wrong in protecting Bai Xue, but he also had no choice. That woman was his sister, and unlike Bai Meiyue, she could not protect herself.
