"Not being able to tell the location of the Human Bureau’s secret base and such doesn’t matter; those clues can be tracked through investigating his body by Mazao later. Right now, I must inquire about other, more important matters."
He said he did not know much about the "apocalypse" and the "Divine Seal Fragment," but he did not say that he was completely ignorant of them. While the Black Rope Heart-locking Ring could indeed force the subject to speak and only tell truths, it couldn’t necessarily compel them to tell the whole truth. I had to keep questioning.
"Do you really have no recollection whatsoever of ’apocalypse’ and ’Divine Seal Fragment’?" I asked. "When I was destroying your consciousness network, I saw a gray fog, which should be a power related to the Divine Seal Fragment."
"All I know about the apocalypse are the prophecies passed down from Luo Mountain, and my knowledge of Divine Seal Fragments is nothing but hearsay. As for the gray fog you mentioned..." he paused for a moment, apparently going through countless thoughts in the process, then said, "I see, you think that my original self obtained the Divine Seal Fragment... But alas, I have no more information. My original self would definitely know more, but he is already dead, and talking about these matters is fruitless."
"What about Lu Youxun?" I pressed on. "Did he collude with you?"
"No," he said. "Lu Chan, me, and the relations with the Human Bureau... are absolutely irreconcilable. At least when it comes to fighting against our side, he is more stubborn than any of you. It’s more likely to kill him than to have him cooperate with me."
The Black Rope Heart-locking Ring was still functioning normally; he appeared to truly think so.
"I am dying; you may ask one last question," he said.

Seeing this man, who was once insufferably arrogant upon first appearance, now exhibit such a casual attitude towards life and death, showing no complaints or indignation about having to submit to interrogation after his dire defeat, I originally contemplated what other important information I had yet to ask. But at this moment, I changed my mind, withdrew my hand, and asked, "Do you have any last words?"
"Last words..." He seemed to ponder deeply, looked at me intently, then nodded and said, "I’ve lost. I am thoroughly convinced."
After speaking, his head tilted, and he died.
A white light then began to emanate from his body, intent on shattering this corpse.
"Stop—," Mazao once again directed the blessing power at the body.
But this time, as if touching the wounds of her soul, her face turned pale, and her body staggered.
Even so, she managed to release the blessing power. A wave that twisted the space enveloped the body of the Weirdo Maker, focusing on the head.
Immediately, a flash of white light illuminated the scene but did not result in a large explosion. Instead, only the torso and limbs of the Weirdo Maker burst apart into thin air, leaving the head intact and rolling to the ground.
I quickly supported Mazao, who was about to fall over.
Just then, a figure landed on the rooftop; it was Zhu Shi.
"I have checked the surroundings, and no new Weirdo Makers or black fog have appeared," she said as she walked towards us. "How are things here, has the head been left behind? I observed from afar that the flames from Zhuang Cheng seemed to reach a realm not of this physical world, likely destroying the Weirdo Maker’s consciousness network?"
As she spoke, she looked toward the head on the ground, nodded, and said, "It appears to have worked..."
Before she could finish, she stood frozen in place, looking incredulously at the real face of the head with no mask to cover it.
She uttered this single word.
