Apocalyptic World: Surviving with my husband and my cute little babies Chapter 174

"You also have spiritual energy. What’s the big deal about it?" Elena retorted, thinking the abbot was exaggerating.

Soon, most humans—even animals and plants—would have it.

Brother Elias was taken aback, looking at her in disbelief.

"Do you really think everyone can have spiritual energy?"

He chuckled, knowing it was rare to be born with a body that could serve as a vessel for spiritual energy.

But Elena brushed it off, as if anyone could possess it.

"Maybe it was rare in the past, but can’t you see the world is changing? I bet you already know, right? Can’t you feel it? The spiritual energy is starting to rise," Elena shot back, her anger growing as she realised he had tried to extract information from her using his spiritual energy.

Too bad for him—she was already awakened, and her spiritual energy was stronger than his: tier 1 versus tierless.

Her core had sensed the foreign energy entering her body and reacted immediately, treating it as an intruder.

"How do you know that?" he asked, clearly intrigued by the information she had just shared.

Before she could respond, Ethan rushed over, his brows furrowed with concern.

He had sensed the shift in atmosphere and didn’t like the tension crackling in the room.

"What’s going on?" he asked, eyes shifting between Elena and Brother Elias.

"Why are you two arguing?"

"Not arguing. We’re discussing spiritual energy," Elena said calmly, trying to soothe Ethan as she gently patted the seat beside her.

"Come, sit down. Just listen, okay? Don’t overthink."

Ethan nodded, still tense, but did as she asked.

Turning her attention back to the abbot, Elena continued.

"Now, where were we? Oh, right—you asked how I knew. Let’s just say there’s an organisation selling information. You might want to check out Paradise Shop; they know more."

"So, you’re connected to them?" Brother Elias asked, narrowing his eyes as he tried to read her expression.

Elena neither confirmed nor denied it. Instead, she smoothly shifted the conversation.

"How did you know Heaven is targeting me?"

Elena needed to know if there were others like Brother Elias who knew about her.

If more people suddenly appeared trying to kill her, it would be a serious problem.

"The Heavens’ vision always points to a woman and tasks us with eradicating her," Brother Elias said calmly.

Ethan’s expression changed instantly.

His fury flared as he glared at the abbot, his voice sharp with rage.

Before he could act, Elena quickly grabbed his hand, trying to calm him.

"Brat! Stay down and let Brother Elias finish," General Kaiser said firmly, placing the teacups on the table and pushing warm drinks toward them.

"Tsk, old man. Am I just supposed to sit here and listen calmly while he talks about killing my wife?" Ethan shot back, his voice low but filled with anger.

Ethan didn’t care who he offended.

If anyone tried to harm his wife or put her in danger—even a so-called ally—he wouldn’t hesitate to take them down, friend or not.

"We will not hurt your wife, that I can promise you for sure," Brother Elias said, raising his hands slightly in defence.

"I’m here to understand why Heaven is adamant about eradicating her."

"You better be, Brother Elias," Ethan replied coldly, wrapping his arm tightly around Elena.

Elena smiled at his protectiveness, touched by his fierce loyalty.

But she was no longer the helpless girl she once was.

She had grown, awakened, and was ready to fight if needed.

If anyone dared threaten her family, they would soon learn what true wrath felt like. She would show no mercy.

"How would I know what the heavens want from me? I’m just a normal human with spiritual energy," Elena replied calmly, carefully hiding the truth—that she had been reborn and carried a powerful secret: her space.

But Brother Elias wasn’t convinced. Her answer was too far-fetched.

"Weird," he muttered, eyes narrowing. "Then how did you know the heavens are targeting you?"

"I mentioned it earlier—it was too obvious," Elena said, her voice steady as she recounted the events: the sinkhole that opened beneath them, the mountain’s sudden collapse, the massive tsunami, and finally, the tornado that struck without warning.

Brother Elias raised his eyebrow.

Either Elena was incredibly lucky—or she had something shielding her from these disasters.

"Well," he said slowly, "I have good and bad news. Which one do you want to hear first?"

"Bad news, then," Elena replied without hesitation.

"I’m not the only one who received the vision," Brother Elias said, his tone serious. "Others have seen glimpses, too. So you must be careful."

Elena’s expression tightened. "And the good news?"

"The vision of you is blurred, as if something is hiding you. Because of that, they don’t know exactly who the woman the heavens want to eradicate is. But..." he paused, "the moment they see you in person, it might change."

"Because you have no spiritual aura. Neither do those close to you. That alone will raise suspicion. I’ve never seen anything like it. How did you make it vanish?"

"I don’t know," Elena replied, though a thought crossed her mind.

The golden tablet marks—it must be the reason.

’Golden Tablet, you are truly a blessing to me.’

"That’s all I wanted to inform you. Since you don’t know why Heaven wants to eradicate you, then I don’t have anything more to say. But at least, I’m not an enemy," Brother Elias said, his voice steady and sincere.

"Don’t worry, brat; this old man treasures our oath," General Kaiser nodded.

He truly respected and admired Ethan and Elena, treating them like his siblings.

Elena and Ethan exchanged a look, silently agreeing that caution was still necessary.

While these men showed goodwill, trust was earned through actions, not words.

Elena then spoke, her tone calm but serious.

"Since you gave me insight, I’ll return the favor. The next disaster will be extreme heat. After that, the world will begin its cycle."

She wasn’t just warning them for their sake—she needed the military to be ready.

Their survival wasn’t just important; it was crucial in the fight against the coming alien invasion.

"Cycle?" Brother Elias echoed, confused by her vague warning.

"Ask the organisation that sells information," Elena scoffed.

She hadn’t forgotten his earlier attempt to invade her with spiritual energy.

She was not the type to forgive easily.

Since he wanted answers, he could pay for them—heavily.

Jades, antiques, whatever they had of value—she’d make sure they bled for it.

"Hmph," she added, turning away with a huff, clearly done with the conversation.
