China, leading the way, had always been allied with India. Spain (t/n: the former West Country) and Japan formed one alliance, Germany and Canada another, and Myanmar and the Non-City Country yet another.
In short, apart from the United States, which has left, all remaining nations formed alliances. There was an alliance comprised of three countries, motivated by the fear of being eliminated if left isolated.
Requesting an alliance was not considered disgraceful. What was disgraceful was being annihilated and then having to return home defeated, unable to face one’s fellow citizens.
Wu Mingyu tasked the Red Hacker Alliance with locating the exposed assassin’s location. Simultaneously, Kolyev asked Ames to help in the investigation.
This exposed assassin now served as their breakthrough point for capturing Wang Yun. After all, the program inspection team still included experts, who were also society’s elites.
It only took three hours, by eleven o’clock the next day, to determine the last known location of the assassin.
“Zhao Bing was last seen disappearing at the end of Pentium Avenue, which has only two forks,” Kolyev informed everyone. “One leads to a nearby residential area known for its demolition and resettlement housing, where there aren’t many outsiders. There are no large factories around, making it easier to check. The other fork leads through a private scenic mountain.”
“That simplifies things,” Ying Yuezi responded. “I’ll immediately notify the Indian team to send a group of inspectors. Together with our team, we’ll split into two groups and check these areas before tonight.”
“Wait, we’ve located Zhao Bing!”
Just as they were preparing to initiate their search, the thermal imaging device suddenly triggered an alarm. The Red Hacker Alliance members promptly raised the alert.
Under a road surveillance camera on Pentium Avenue, a black car was spotted driving from the dead end. This was the only camera on Pentium Avenue, as there were no cameras at the road’s end.
“It’s him, lock the license plate number and follow him immediately,” Wang Yue exclaimed, standing up excitedly.
Wu Yaoming nodded with enthusiasm, “Capture him alive.”
Zhao Bing’s reason for going out alone was that it was his turn to monitor that day. He needed to replace a member stationed near the program inspection headquarters. The assassin organization rotated positions daily to ensure everyone had ample rest and to avoid their faces being recognized and tracked.
Zhao Bing didn’t wear a mask when he left. Considering he was just there to observe, using his real face felt safer.
However, unbeknownst to him, he had already been marked. His information had been uncovered, and his phone was under surveillance. Although Wang Yun’s current residence had signal jamming, once he left, his location could easily be tracked.
The Chinese and Indian teams acted quickly.
To capture Zhao Bing, they dispatched only four elite program inspectors. He was merely a minor assassin, not warranting excessive force. Too large of a force could also be detected more easily.
They tracked him continuously until Zhao Bing stopped in the industrial area near their program inspection headquarters. Everyone watching the surveillance screen was instantly unnerved.
Inside the program observation room, Director Fang watched the live broadcast. He was profoundly shaken.
“This has really hit the program inspection team hard,” he mused. “Wang Yun has his men conducting surveillance right near their headquarters. It’s like they’ve completely switched places. Wang Yun’s behind-the-scenes strategy is incredibly meticulous.”
Director Fang couldn’t help but praise Wang Yun again.
He had lost count of how many times he had complimented him. Fortunately, Wang Yun was only playing a fugitive in the program. If he were to do this in reality, it would likely cause a global sensation.
With this thought, a shiver ran through Director Fang’s entire body.
When the show ended, he had to recruit Wang Yun, by force or negotiation. Such an elite must be harnessed for his own purposes.
As everyone in the livestream heard Mr. Fang’s comments, they all furiously tapped the screen, sending likes skyrocketing.

The conversation was filled with jokes.
They were so captivated by the unfolding drama that they couldn’t bear to turn off their phones. Initially, they thought that Wang Yun, having fled to Xiyun City, might face challenges due to unfamiliarity with the new environment. Just as their faces burned with the heat of realization, Wu Yaoming suddenly began to cough violently. The cough shook his entire body and flushed his face bright red.
“Are you alright?” Wu Mingyu asked, frowning in concern.
Wu Yaoming gestured dismissively, his face marked by anger.
“Wang Yun has actually been monitoring us all this time. Every single move we make is under his surveillance,” Wu Yaoming lamented with a mix of helplessness and anger.
The group’s expressions were steeped in bitterness, especially Ying Yuezi, who felt the blow acutely. She knew Wang Yun was powerful, but she hadn’t realized just how formidable and aggressive he was.
“We all miscalculated, he’s incredibly audacious,” she admitted.
“Let’s not dwell on this,” Kolyev interjected, eager to lift their spirits. “It’s not too late for us. Don’t lose heart. If we capture Zhao Bing, we can force him to disclose Wang Yun’s whereabouts. After catching Wang Yun, let’s vent our anger properly.”
With that, Kolyev tried to rally the shaken team. Meanwhile, the program inspectors were already making their covert move toward capturing Zhao Bing.
