As a Grey Knight In Naruto Chapter 28

The stars still clung to the sky when Hajime's eyes snapped open.

It was well before dawn. The air was cold, the kind of chill that clung to the skin and made silence feel heavier. But the cold wasn't what stirred him. It was the pressure.

A wave.

A hum.

A storm, coiled tight in his spine, surging outward with every heartbeat.

He sat up quickly. The blankets slipped from his body, and the wooden floor creaked beneath his feet. His breathing was steady, but the pressure within him wasn't. His veins pulsed with light. Chakra... no, not chakra. Something more. Something deeper.

Something ancient.

His vision blurred for a moment, and then everything sharpened unnaturally. The grain of the wood, the faint scratches on the nearby table, even the distant flap of a moth's wings outside the paper-thin window… he could sense it all.

Then his eyes lit up, literally.

Brilliant blue and white light flared from his irises, casting an eerie glow across the room. The table's shadow twisted. Dust floated upward as if gravity was momentarily confused. The power within him raged like a newborn star.

His hand shot to his temple.

It wasn't pain.

It was too much clarity.

Too much raw energy flowing through nerves not yet used to holding it.

And then came the voice. Or rather, the presence, not his, not hostile, but commanding.

Memories surged like a tide through a broken dam.

He wasn't alone in his mind.

A fragment, no, an echo, of the Grey Knight Librarian. A being forged in psychic warfare, trained in the use of thought as weapon, shield, and fire. His legacy, buried within the gene-seed, awakened.

And Hajime saw through his eyes.

Not fully. Just enough.

He saw the techniques. The meditative stillness. The iron discipline to survive the Warp without being devoured.

"Control," the echo whispered.

"Shape it."

"Do not let it shape you."

With shaking fingers, Hajime sat cross-legged once more, ignoring the sweat forming on his brow. He breathed deep, not with lungs, but with mind.

He meditated.

And when his spirit opened, it was not chakra he reached for, but the Warp.

He projected outward.

Not with jutsu. Not with seals.

With thought alone.

Astral Projection: Entering the Warp

His consciousness slipped from his body like a thread of silk unraveling. Space folded. Gravity lost meaning.

He drifted upward

And then...

He stood at the edge of infinity.

The Warp.

But not the nightmare realm of monsters and madness he had read about in the Grey Knight memories. This Warp was...

Peaceful.

No shrieking daemons.

No formless gods of excess and decay.

No maelstrom of pain and lies.

Instead, it was like an endless sky painted in waves of luminous color. Purple rivers flowed through golden mist. Soft light danced on invisible tides. Thoughts echoed here, like whispered songs, lost dreams drifting like clouds. The emotion of the living world pulsed through it faintly, curiosity, fear, hope, all muted by distance.

The Warp was alive.

And it was beautiful.

Hajime floated, awestruck.

In the 40K universe, this place was a battleground, corrupted by trillions of trillions of souls and their horrors. But here, in this younger, quieter universe, there were so few minds. So few dreams. No gods had yet scarred its surface. No daemons had seeded terror.

It was still pure.

And unclaimed.

He reached out with his astral hand.

The Warp responded like water to touch, rippling gently around his fingers. Power swirled with ease, bending to his focus.

He didn't need words. No incantations.

The Librarian's memory returned in flashes, mantras of control, geometric mental patterns to shape and stabilize energy, safeguards to seal one's mind.

He practiced them now, as if he had always known them.

He drew the Warp energy toward himself, and it came willingly.

It filled him like breath.

---

The Smile of Power

When his eyes opened in the real world again, the stars were fading. Morning was approaching. His body was drenched in sweat, and the floor beneath him hummed faintly from lingering power.

He rose slowly, and a smile crossed his lips.

For the first time since coming to this world…

He felt safe.

Not invincible.

But prepared.

This world had monsters, rogue shinobi, hidden blades behind smiles. But now he wielded a power untouched by any nation's teachings. No bloodline limit. No forbidden jutsu.

Only the Warp.

And the legacy of warriors forged to fight gods.

He was no longer just a healer in training. No longer just a stranger in this world.
