After Jian Ran finished explaining, Gu Mochen remained impassive, showing no indication of what was going on in his mind.
Jian Ran stretched out her little hand to rub her swollen brow and countered, “President Gu, are you satisfied with my answer?”

Seeing Jian Ran get out of the car, Qin Mu immediately stretched out his hand to grasp her shoulders.

Although it wasn’t quite early winter yet, it was deep autumn, and Jian Ran felt a twinge of heartache seeing Qin Mu’s handsome face, reddened from the cold.

The man’s magnetic voice rose from behind her, causing Jian Ran’s scalp to tingle intensely, and only then did Qin Mu, who had been solely focused on Jian Ran, take notice of the imposing man behind her.

After contemplating Gu Mochen’s provocation, Qin Mu then turned to Jian Ran and said with conviction,
“President Gu, I won’t despise Ran for being a widow.
Now that her husband is dead, I will take even better care of her.”
