While the female employees of the Gu Family gossiped about Gu Mochen every day, Jian Ran devoted herself wholeheartedly to sketching design drafts, turning in seven pieces consecutively.
Lan Xing, the head of the Design Department, was shocked by Jian Ran’s work, finding it somewhat unbelievable that such talent came from a girl who had just stepped out of school.

May I know why you’ve called me here?”
“The design drafts for Dongheng International — take a look.”
Jian Ran took the design portfolio from the man’s hand, pursed her lips — among the interns, each had submitted one design.
The seven full-time staff of the department each contributed one as well, and supervisor Lan Xing had turned in two.
She submitted seven pieces, but it seemed Lan Xing had chosen the worst one.
Even though it was the worst, it was still on par with Lan Xing’s designs.
It looked like Lan Xing had done it on purpose, after all, she was the head of the department.

I think you should show these designs to the supervisor.”
