She put the files on the desk in Xiaowang’s room and said to Gu Yusheng, who had taken a seat in a chair, “Master Gu, I’m going to my room now.” Gu Yusheng nodded, and she hastily left with her laptop in her arms.
Once in her own room, Qin Zhi’ai, still holding her laptop, fell back on the bed like a board.
She had been so tired and sleepy at the meeting that she thought she would immediately fall asleep. Laying on the bed with her eyes closed, however, she could not fall asleep at all.
She had not inserted the room card to turn on the lights when she walked in the room, so when she opened her eyes the room was pitch black.
She laid on the bed for a long time in the dark thinking about Gu Yusheng.

Qin Zhi’ai fumbled on the bed for her cell phone. She picked it up and checked the time.
Almost two in the morning.
The meeting ended an hour ago. They should have finished their discussion by now. Is he with her in his room?
