The words “I’m alright” remained stuck in Qin Zhi’ai’s throat as she stared into Gu Yusheng’s eyes.
Gu Yusheng frowned when he saw her stare at him without a word. Bending down, he picked her up and walked toward the beach.
By the time he’d placed her down on the reclining chair, Qin Zhi’ai finally came to her senses and looked at him once more. He had regained his usual calm expression, and the troubled look that she thought she saw seemed to have been all in her imagination.
