"Who are these people? Did you invite them?" Cheng Su asked Ning Ge, tilting her head.
Ning Ge shook his head and countered, "No, I didn’t. Wasn’t it you?"
Cheng Su frowned. If it wasn’t an invitation from either of them, who were these people?
The cars stopped not far from the entrance, and the first car’s door opened; the person who emerged was completely unknown. However, the person who got out of the second car made Cheng Su’s eyes widen in shock.
"Eh, it’s Big Brother Qi!" Ning Ge also spotted the man descending from the car—none other than Qi Taiguo.
Why had he come?
Qi Taiguo, after getting out, reached to hold the car door open, as if to welcome someone important.
It wasn’t until Qi Taiguo helped the person out of the car that Ning Ge blurted out an expletive, "Damn, it’s my family’s eldest!"
Cheng Su was slightly taken aback, looking at Ning Ge questioningly. Ning Ge explained, "It’s my eldest brother, but why has he come?" With that, he hastened forward.
The elder brother, the Chief from Beijing?
Cheng Su was startled, and after greeting the curious Ying Jian with a nod, she hurried to follow.
"Big brother," Ning Ge called out to Ning Gang.
Following behind, Cheng Su thought to herself, goodness, were these people from various military regions?
They certainly carried an imposing presence!
She looked at Qi Taiguo, who nodded solemnly, signaling that now was not the time for ’in-depth conversation’.
"I came over for an inspection and decided to check out what you’ve accomplished with your enterprise. You haven’t been taking undue advantage of state resources, have you?" Ning Gang glared sternly at Ning Ge.
Ning Ge rolled his eyes, "Brother, if you’re going to lie, at least try to make it sound plausible."
Before he could speak, Ning Gang helped another elder out of the car. Ning Ge’s eyes widened in disbelief, "O..."
A sharp look from Ning Gang, and he immediately corrected himself respectfully, "Dad."
"Old Master Ning?" Cheng Su also noticed the elder and was no less astonished than Ning Ge. Wasn’t this the same old man she had met at the hospital previously?

Cheng Su looked back and forth in surprise as she watched Ning Ge and his father, her mind racing before suddenly hitting on an almost fantastical realization.
Ning Ge was the son of Old Master Ning, and she had first ’saved’ the father, then ’by chance’ the son as well?
Heaven, what kind of cosmic joke was this? Were worldly coincidences this bizarre, or was Heaven granting her some sort of cheat code in life?
"I had nothing to do at home, so I decided to come along with your brother and enjoy the spectacle!" Old Master Ning chuckled, his eyes lighting up upon seeing Cheng Su, "Ah, the young lady!"
Ning Gang followed Old Master Ning’s gaze and immediately knew that Cheng Su was indeed the one who had previously met with Old Master Ning and who had now connected with Ning Ge.
Ning Gang’s scrutinizing gaze fell on Cheng Su, neatly dressed in a knee-length suit skirt and high heels, hair pinned up, lightly made-up, a slight smile on her lips, and clear, delicate features. She looked very sharp. Was she really only twenty? Indeed, she seemed even more composed than Ning Ge.
Qi Taiguo was somewhat surprised by Old Master Ning’s enthusiasm towards Cheng Su. Seeing his wife walk over, he naturally stood by her side.
"Young lady, we meet again!" Old Master Ning said with a smile beaming through his eyes.
Cheng Su did her best to ignore the authoritative gaze from Ning Gang looking her way. She bowed respectfully to Old Master Ning and smiled in return, "Old Master Ning, it’s been several months since we last met, yet you’re as robust as ever!"
Aside from Ning Gang and his brother, who knew what was going on, everyone else looked bewildered. Big Brother Qi’s wife knew the Old Chief as well?
