Qi Taiguo could hardly believe his own ears. A miscarriage—how could that be possible? They had been taking contraceptive measures; how could Cheng Su be pregnant? And even if she was, how could she have had a miscarriage?

Qi Taiguo’s fist hit the wall instead, skin on his knuckles scraped to blood, with Hualing on the side covering her mouth, terrified.
"This isn’t your business; I’m the husband who lacked the ability, I failed to protect her, it’s my fault," Qi Taiguo reversed his hand and slapped his own face, then again, "It’s all my fault."
"Big Brother Qi." Ning Ge hurriedly grabbed his hand.
