After drying himself off, Huo Beijiang casually tossed the towel, which traced an arc in the air before landing precisely on the rack reserved for face towels. As he leisurely started to dress himself, he stated, “Isn’t it normal for a man to have perverted thoughts? Besides, my perverted thoughts are directed only toward you!”
Noticing his wife stubbornly refusing to look at him, he reassured her somewhat helplessly, “My love, I’m fully dressed now.”
“I don’t believe it.”
“I don’t have a fetish for being naked! Of course, if you, my dear wife, enjoy seeing it, I could consider going without clothes forever.”
Nan Fei nearly choked with laughter. “So much for claiming that you’re not a pervert.” Someone who went their whole life without clothes was indeed a terrifying thought!

“Absolutely not.” Having finished dressing, Huo Beijiang strode forward, forcibly lifted her up, and compelled her to look at him. “I need to figure out how to mark you as mine.”

Huo Beijiang narrowed his threatening eyes, his gaze lingering on her exquisite neck before finally moving reluctantly.
“Does this hold any special meaning?” Nan Fei inquired curiously.
“Of course!” He answered smugly, unable to hide his satisfaction in his eyes, “This particular bullet is from the first assignment I carried out at the age of eighteen. At the time, I was still in college, and I used it to kill my very first enemy. This bullet pierced straight through their heart, killing them instantly.”
He concluded his story self-satisfied, “This was my coming-of-age gift at eighteen, so it holds special significance to me.”
Nan Fei imagined the scenario in her mind and shivered involuntarily.
“Can’t we replace it with something else?” she almost sobbed.
“Absolutely not!” he refused with determination.
Clearly, she needed to toughen up. She had great aspirations for herself and couldn’t back down now!
Huo Beijiang kissed her lightly on the lips when she wasn’t expecting it, relieving some of the tension in his heart.
Finally, his fever had subsided, or else he might have torn the hospital apart!
“Goodnight, my dear wife.” He effortlessly picked her up, like he was carrying a doll, and tucked her into the thin summer blanket.
“It’s almost time for sunrise, hurry up and sleep.”
Nan Fei glared at him in irritation. Was she to blame?
“Go away! Get out!” she was about to explode from frustration.
Nan Fei covered her ears, “Go quickly, I can’t sleep with you here.”

“Huo Beijiang!” Nan Fei raised her voice by several notches. She got out of bed, pushed him toward the door, and continued pushing him until he was outside. Just as she turned to close the door from the inside, she caught sight of his smugly handsome face.
