“Good news!” The secretary lowered his voice and whispered: “Jing Tong has been caught in bed with He Rongxi’s lawyer.”
Leng Rui was about to open the office door as he paused, an amused smile crept upon his face, “Indeed, that’s good news. How did He Rongxi react?”
“Any man who encounters such a thing would surely have an interesting expression.”
Men understand men; thinking about it is thrilling enough.
“However, we underestimated He Rongxi before. He actually endured it, acting as if nothing had happened, and left directly.”
“Typical! He must be planning a harsher retaliation!” Leng Rui had a decent understanding of He Rongxi. This man was the epitome of a petty character – underhanded and cowardly.
His father was blind to have married his sister off to such a man.
Coming into the office, Leng Rui happily poured red wine for them both. He held a glass and gently swirled it in his hand as he reflected deeply on the news.
“Something’s not right!” Leng Rui put down his wine glass and grew serious. “There’s something fishy with this situation; there has to be a problem in between.”
“What’s not right?” The secretary was confused, not realizing Leng Rui’s words meant.
“You just said we underestimated He Rongxi and Jing Tong too. All these years, she never let He Rongxi find out. So how come at this crucial moment, He Rongxi caught her in bed with another man? And moreover, at the He Family’s Villa?”
After speaking, Leng Rui double-checked, “It was at the He Family’s Villa, right?”
“Yes, otherwise Little Tao wouldn’t have had a chance to know.”
“That makes it even more suspicious! According to Jing Tong’s cautiousness, she absolutely wouldn’t bring a man back to the villa.” Leng Rui was more convinced that something was strange about the situation, he finally shook his head and said: “Investigate this thoroughly for me. Even the mention of her name would give any school principal a headache.
“I haven’t had the chance to inquire about the specifics yet. All I know for now is that she hit He Jinlan.” The secretary hesitated a bit, then asked, “Should I find out more?”
