His body ached with restraint.

Huo Beijiang perceived the danger in her voice and his sour expression slightly eased. His gaze lingered on her face, then he gritted his teeth and said, “I’m going to take a shower.” He immediately turned and walked towards the bathroom in the room.
From inside, the sound of running water soon emerged.
Nan Fei was startled. After a glance at the light from the window, she couldn’t help but burst into laughter. In her heart, she made a firm resolution. This would be the last time; she couldn’t let him suffer any longer.
The two were now married, and the fact that he could still resist not touching her proved that he would honour their initial vow.
If he hadn’t let go of her earlier, she would’ve ended up fainting. But he did let her go, touching Nan Fei’s heart and moving her deeply. When they registered their marriage, he promised to wait for her – wait for her to graduate, wait for her parents’ consent, and wait to hold a proper wedding ceremony.
Back then, it didn’t seem to matter much. But now thinking about it, having him endure for four long years of university seemed unbearable.
