With that in mind, he averted his gaze and replied, “I heard you. I was just looking.”
Regaining his composure, Xu Sheng resumed his usual proud demeanor, lifting his chin as he climbed into their car.
Huang Fei watched her meticulously raised genius son with a sense of pride and satisfaction. To her, a good genius should always heed the words of adults.
She remained blissfully unaware that having a genius and being obedient at the same time was a contradiction. Xu Sheng was more of a carefully crafted product in her eyes rather than a living, breathing individual with his own thoughts and feelings.

“Mom, you look so beautiful! You’re the prettiest person in the world!” Su Li exclaimed.
Gao Ming added, “Auntie, did you descend from heaven? You look so stunning!”
Gu Zi felt a surge of happiness at their compliments and decided to invite Gao Ming, “We’re planning to go for a bike ride. Would you like to join us, Gao Ming?”
Gao Ming eagerly nodded and dashed toward the door, calling out, “Auntie, Su Li, wait for me! I’m going to get my bike!”
Just as Gao Ming hurried out to fetch his bicycle, his father, Gao Lang, arrived home, carrying a bag full of new toys and snacks. This time, he had come back specifically to see his eldest son.
