The woman that entered the classroom was Layla, the teacher of Quantum Physics, the study of subatomic phenomena influenced by magical fields or enchantments. It was one of the most important subjects in this world, as it explained the fundamental principles of magic and how it interacted with the environment. Every high school student was required to study it.
Layla was a busty human woman in her early forties, though she looked much younger than her age. Her short brown hair was neatly styled, stiff like it had been starched, with small bangs hanging at the front. Her face was youthful and radiant, her skin smooth and glowing like a baby’s. Mrs. Layla was a certified head-turner, known not only for her smooth, ageless skin but also for her banging body that made it seem like she wore a corset under her suit. "Good day, class. Open your laptops and log in to your portals. Your exam will start in ten minute—" She paused mid-sentence as her eyes caught someone seated at the back of the classroom.

And since the request was just to give him a passing C, most gave in without much resistance.
"Dapper... see me in my office when you’re free," Layla said, then turned on the smart board. Immediately, all the students opened their laptops and logged into their portals. The exam questions appeared on their screens, a digital timer counting down at the lower corner.

School had closed for the day. Dapper quickly picked up his bag and rushed out of the classroom, ignoring Yavo and Lice, who called after him.
"I need to go somewhere important, guys!" Dapper shouted, already halfway out the door.
’Fred told me to meet him at the school gate once class ended. I can’t fucking wait to finally get my golden finger,’ he grinned, picking up the pace.
Meanwhile, Elena stood quietly in a corner, watching him dash out of the classroom. Her fists clenched at her sides.
’You are mine, Dapper. You are only mine. No one else can have you,’ she muttered, her expression twisting into something wicked and deranged.
Dapper exited the school building and immediately spotted a black vehicle parked nearby. The window rolled down and he saw Fred was in the driver’s seat, though he seemed to be using a different car. Dapper entered the back seat and was immediately greeted by a strong wave of cold air-conditioning.
Cars in this world functioned similarly to those in his previous life. The only difference was that these cars ran on Mana Crystals—an incredibly pure and efficient form of energy.
"How were your exams today, my lord?" Fred asked, glancing at Dapper through the rearview mirror.
"It was splendid. Though kind of boring," Dapper replied casually.
’Boring? He’s never said anything like that before. He’s really changed. Even his demeanor feels different. Madam also seemed unusually happy today,’ Fred thought, sneaking glances at Dapper as he drove through the bustling city traffic. Meanwhile, Dapper kept his gaze fixed on the tinted windows, quietly observing the world outside.
’I still can’t believe I’m in a world with so many races. Elves, demons, humans, beastkins, dwarves, titans, monsters... I can’t even name them all,’ he thought.
This was the continent of Zubris, one of many on the planet Aegros. Aegros was fifty times larger than Earth, and Zubris alone was about the size of three to five Earths combined. Though other races coexisted here, the continent was firmly under human control.
Soon, Fred parked in a lot several meters away from a massive, brown, towering structure that pierced into the sky. It was built entirely from finely carved stone, covered in intricate runes from base to the top. What stood out most were the Mana Crystals growing directly out of the tower’s surface, each pulsing with a translucent blue glow. Crane-like machines and workers surrounded the tower, harvesting the overgrown crystals.
Even more striking was the thick, almost visible density of pure Mana surrounding the place.
"We have arrived at the Awakening Tower, my lord," Fred announced.
