"Young Master Ye, you’re back!"
Suddenly, the Head of Security Wang Meng ran out, obsequiously approaching the young man and respectfully called out.
"Wang Meng, you’ve come just in time. Throw him out along with these two guys."
The young man glanced at Wang Meng and ordered coldly.
"This..." Wang Meng looked at Xiao Yifeng, his eyes flickering, and he wore an expression of fear.
"What? I haven’t been back for a year, and now you won’t even listen to me?"
The young man’s face darkened as he glared at Wang Meng.
"No, Young Master Ye, he is your future brother-in-law!" Wang Meng whispered.
"What? What did you say he is?" The young man’s expression changed as he looked at Xiao Yifeng.
"This is President Ye’s fiancé, Xiao Yifeng." Wang Meng spoke again.
All of a sudden, the young man’s expression drastically changed as he stared at Xiao Yifeng and said, "Since when did my sister have a fiancé?"
"This happened a month ago." Wang Meng looked at the young man and said.
The young man’s gaze flickered for a moment, then he walked up to Xiao Yifeng and said in a deep voice, "Who exactly are you, and what’s your relationship with my sister?"
"Didn’t you hear clearly just now? I am the President’s fiancé. When did the President have a brother like you? However, since you are my future brother-in-law, shouldn’t you call me ’brother-in-law’?" Xiao Yifeng said lightly.
"Hmph, to be my brother-in-law, Ye Tianchen, you are not worthy!"
Ye Tianchen swept an indifferent and scornful glance at Xiao Yifeng, clearly not taking his sister’s fiancé seriously.
Xiao Yifeng laughed, revealing a bright smile, patted Ye Tianchen on the shoulder, and said, "That’s exactly what I wanted to say."
"What do you mean?" Ye Tianchen looked perplexed.
"In my eyes, you are not worthy to be my brother-in-law." Xiao Yifeng enunciated each word.
"You..." Ye Tianchen immediately became angry, his eyes flashing with a cold and forbidding light as he stared at Xiao Yifeng.
"Young Master Ye, President Ye is waiting for you in the office!" Just then, Su Yan slowly walked over and said to Ye Tianchen with a bow.
"Kid, you just wait!"
Ye Tianchen cast a fierce glance at Xiao Yifeng, then walked over to the foreign young man, revealing an apologetic expression: "I apologize for the trouble, Young Master Jess. I’ll take you to see my sister now."
"Mhm." The foreign young man nodded indifferently, his gaze casually flitting over Xiao Yifeng.
As Ye Tianchen and the others departed, everyone in the company lobby started to discuss amongst themselves.
"Hey, He Li, is that guy really my wife’s brother? Why haven’t I heard her mention him?"
Xiao Yifeng asked He Li by his side without hiding his surprise.
"Mr. Xiao, he really is President Ye’s brother, well, a cousin to be exact. Young Master Ye is the son of Ye Songming, the second son of the Ye Family, who has been studying abroad in Country Y and only returns once a year," He Li explained.
"Oh, so he’s a cousin. He’s just as annoying as his father,"
Xiao Yifeng said without any reservations.
Meanwhile, in Ye Yaxin’s office, Ye Tianchen walked in with the foreign young man.
"Big sister, long time no see!"
Ye Tianchen greeted Ye Yaxin with a face full of smiles.
"You didn’t even say a word when you came back; I could have sent someone to pick you up!"
Ye Yaxin said to Ye Tianchen.
"It’s okay, Sister. When did you get a fiancé, and why didn’t I know about it? And such a tasteless guy at that, how is he worthy of being with you?"
Ye Tianchen said directly, his voice filled with disdain.
Ye Yaxin glanced at Ye Tianchen and said, "Grandpa decided on the engagement, so don’t interfere. I heard you had some conflicts with him downstairs, so for my sake, let it go and don’t hold a grudge."
A shadowy expression flickered in Ye Tianchen’s eyes, then he smiled and said:
"Sister, I’ll listen to you, but let me introduce someone to you. This is Young Master Jess, he’s my classmate in Country Y. Young Master Jess, this is my sister, Ye Yaxin. I didn’t lie, did I? Isn’t she beautiful?"
"Miss Ye is indeed stunningly beautiful, not in the least inferior to those top international female stars!"
With his deep blue eyes, Jess looked at Ye Yaxin, revealing a splendid smile.
"Thank you for your compliment," Ye Yaxin said calmly.
"Sister, you have no idea, Young Master Jess is actually Duke Jason’s grandson from Country Y, with royal blood, a true aristocratic Young Master!"
Ye Tianchen praised Jess to Ye Yaxin.
Surprise flickered in Ye Yaxin’s eyes. The Dukes of Country Y held a lofty position in the royal hierarchy, second only to princes, and were true nobles of Country Y’s high society.
Just like the kinsmen of the Imperial Family in ancient China, she hadn’t expected Jess to have such a background.
Faced with Ye Tianchen’s praises, Jess maintained a smiling face but carried an air of noble demeanor.
"Miss Ye, I would like to invite you to dinner, may I?" Jess asked Ye Yaxin directly.
"Sister, it’s just a dinner. It’s perfect since I’ve just come back; consider it a welcome back treat for me," Ye Tianchen quickly said.
"Then I should invite Yashi and Xiao Yifeng too."
"No need, Sister, just the three of us. I’ll treat Yashi another day, and as for Xiao Yifeng, I don’t want to see him; he makes me lose my appetite," Ye Tianchen said coldly.
"Alright then," Ye Yaxin agreed after a moment of thought.
In the office of DH District Bureau Chief Dai Li, Xiao Ruolin suddenly barged in.
"Captain Xiao, what’s the rush, what happened?" Dai Li asked Xiao Ruolin, looking surprised at her urgency.
"Chief, I’ve found that tonight at Yang Corporation’s Dock Seven, a cargo ship will be setting out to sea," Xiao Ruolin hurriedly said.
"Is there a problem with that?" Dai Li asked, puzzled.
"Chief, I suspect that the treasure stolen by those Japanese might be transported away on that cargo ship."
Dai Li’s expression changed to one of alarm and said, "How is that possible? That cargo ship is supposed to be carrying goods in cooperation between Yang Corporation and Ishii Group, which has already been declared. How could it be involved with that treasure?"
"Chief, according to my investigations and analysis, the Ishii Group is the dark hand behind these Japanese. They are planning to transport the treasure away."
"That’s why they pretended to collaborate with Yang Corporation, so as to sneak the treasure into the cargo and ship it out without anyone noticing," explained Xiao Ruolin.
Dai Li’s eyes flickered before he said, "I will report this matter to higher-ups, you don’t need to worry about it anymore."
"Chief, I suggest that I personally lead a team to the dock to thoroughly inspect the cargo," Xiao Ruolin proposed.
