Xiao Yifeng gave a slight smile. His perceptive eyes had already seen through the situation in the dense forest. Indeed, it was fraught with danger; an ordinary person venturing in would likely find only a path to death.
It was precisely because of this vast and dangerous forest serving as a natural barrier that the Miao Clan had always been shrouded in mystery, unknown to outsiders.
Following Lin Feeng into the dense forest, trees surrounded them on all sides. From time to time, they could see a pile of poison insects and ants. As they went deeper, copious amounts of miasma and fog also began to emerge.

Lin Feeng handed a pill to Xiao Yifeng.
Xiao Yifeng said, swallowing the pill before continuing deeper into the forest.
At that moment, a man’s voice suddenly rang out, and several figures appeared in the dense forest, everyone dressed in the distinctive attire of the Miao Clan.
The one leading was a young man in purple Miao clothes, long hair braided into plaits, a distinctive Miao knife hanging at his waist.
The call ’Little Feng’ came from this young man, who now looked at Lin Feeng with undeniable excitement.
"Lei Tuo! How come you’re here?"
Lin Feeng’s gaze swept over the young man, her tone cold and not too friendly.

"Your father has already agreed to marry you to me, to unite Phoenix Village and Leigong Stockade. Doesn’t that make you my, Lei Tuo’s, woman?"
The young man said, smirking.
"Hmph, Lei Tuo, I will not marry you, so you might as well give up on that idea!"
Lin Feeng retorted with resolute disdain.
"It’s not up to you, as long as your father agrees, that’s enough."
Lei Tuo, the young man, grunted, his gaze then shifting towards Xiao Yifeng with a slight frown.
"Little Feng, who is this guy? He doesn’t seem to be from our Miao clan. Why did you bring an outsider into Miaojiang?"
Lei Tuo coldly challenged Xiao Yifeng.
"What business is it of yours? Big Brother, let’s go!"
Lin Feeng said, grabbing Xiao Yifeng’s hand and attempting to leave.
"Stop right there, kid. No matter who you are, Miaojiang is not a place you can step into. Get lost immediately!"
Lei Tuo’s eyes icily stared at Xiao Yifeng as he spoke sternly.
Just as Lin Feeng was about to speak, she was interrupted by Xiao Yifeng.
"Are you talking to me?"
Xiao Yifeng’s lips curled into a mocking smile as he looked at Lei Tuo.
"That’s right, kid. Scram from here at once, or else don’t blame me for being rude!"
Lei Tuo spoke haughtily.
With a powerful kick, Xiao Yifeng sent Lei Tuo flying on the spot.
"That’s my answer. Satisfied?"
Xiao Yifeng snorted coldly.
"You damned bastard! How dare you hit me?"
Lei Tuo glared at Xiao Yifeng with a face full of anger.
"You guys, go get him!"
Lei Tuo ordered the men beside him, who all fixed their sights on Xiao Yifeng and immediately charged at him.
These men, merely at the Transformative Energy Stage, stood no chance against Xiao Yifeng and were effortlessly sent flying by him.
Xiao Yifeng said coldly.
"Big brother, you’re so amazing!"
Lin Feng watched Xiao Yifeng with an excited and admiring expression, then shot Lei Tuo a glance, "See that, Lei Tuo? From now on, stop pestering me, or I’ll have big brother here teach you a lesson."
Right after that, Lin Feng led Xiao Yifeng away from that place and towards the depths of the dense forest.
Lei Tuo pounded the ground furiously, his face a mask of anger.
Some fifteen minutes later, Xiao Yifeng, following Lin Feng, emerged from the Miaojiang Dense Forest and arrived at the Miao Clan’s area.
The Miao Clan’s habitat was immense, building numerous Miao Villages around a mountain peak. Everywhere one looked, there were men and women dressed in Miao attire.
Xiao Yifeng swept his gaze across and spotted a majestic temple erected on the mountain peak, and from within that temple, he sensed an unnerving presence.
It seemed as though a very powerful master was hidden inside, and most notably, Xiao Yifeng’s X-ray vision couldn’t penetrate the temple to see the situation inside, which, naturally, surprised him greatly.
It appears this Miao Clan is truly not so simple.
"Big brother, I’ll take you to meet my father in our Phoenix Village,"
Lin Feng said to Xiao Yifeng, leading him directly towards an enormous compound. Xiao Yifeng noticed that although there were many compounds within the Miao Clan, they seemed to be separate from each other.
Arriving at one of the compounds, the men and women dressed in Miao attire looked at Lin Feng and respectfully called her miss.
It seemed Lin Feng held an extraordinary status within this compound.
Entering a room, they found a middle-aged man with a scarf-like covering on his head, dressed in Miao clothing, and a grave expression sitting there, exuding a formidable aura.
Lin Feng, bringing Xiao Yifeng inside, looked at the middle-aged man and respectfully bowed her head, calling out. The man was Lin Feng’s father, Lin Fang.
"You little brat, you actually know to come back? I thought you might not return at all,"
Lin Fang said sternly, his face stern as he spoke.
"Father, I know I was wrong. I shouldn’t have been so impulsive,"
Lin Feng spoke somewhat coquettishly.
"Hmph, you’re utterly reckless, running off from Miaojiang on your own. Do you have any idea how dangerous it is out there? And do you realize how much shame you’ve brought upon me by running away?"
Lin Fang looked solemnly at Lin Feng.
"Father, how can you blame me? Why would you make me marry that bastard Lei Tuo? You know as well as I do that he’s lazy and incompetent, has no skills, and is involved with quite a few women from Leigong Stockade. How could I possibly marry someone like that?"
Lin Feng expressed her discontent.
"You girl, what am I going to do with you? You know why I’m doing this."
Lin Fang sighed helplessly.
"I know, are you not trying to ally with Leigong Stockade to deal with Miao King Village, aiming to seize the position of Clan Leader of the Miao Clan? But it’s not right to sacrifice my happiness, and moreover, Lei Mu is obviously not going to give up competing for the Clan Leader,"
Lin Feng retorted with a huff.
"Ah, the position of the Clan Leader is very important; it’s vital for the future development of our Phoenix Village,"
Lin Fang said with a somber face.
"I don’t care, father. I’m telling you, I’ve already fallen for someone, and I won’t be marrying Lei Tuo,"
"Fallen for someone?"
Lin Fang was momentarily startled after hearing Lin Feng’s words.
"That’s right, this big brother here is the one I like. His name is Xiao Yifeng, and he’s a hundred times stronger than that Lei Tuo!"
Lin Feng suddenly took Xiao Yifeng’s hand as she spoke.
