“You are both people I love. No matter what I hear or see, I will always choose to believe you guys at the first moment. Even if all the evidence are laid out before me, so long as you say ‘It’s not true’, I will believe you guys. So you don’t have to be so cautious and scared. I will not try to understand my lovers from the mouth of others.”
Lea and Elvis both nodded with a smile and kissed each side of Gu Mengmeng’s cheek. Then they responded with a gentle voice, “Alright.”
Gu Mengmeng then nodded and said, “Just go and settle matters with Miranda. If me being present makes you at ease, then I can accompany you. If you are worried about people trying to sow discord between us and plant false truth, I don’t think it’s necessary.”
Lea laughed softly and used his big tail to wrap around Gu Mengmeng’s waist. He replied, “If I say… I want to see you being jealous because of me? Just like… the other time when you fought with Nina for me at Saint Nazaire, that side of you made me so blissful that I almost felt that I was floating in the air. So I am really in a dilemma – a part of me wishes that you would be jealous of Miranda, but the other part of me is worried that you would misunderstand our relationship. Tsk, even I do not know what I want now.”
Gu Mengmeng rolled up her sleeves and said, “You want me to fight with other females because of you, is it? Fine, I shall fulfill your wish, but you have to first answer one question of mine.”
“Yeah, I will tell you if I know.”
Gu Mengmeng placed her arms on both sides of her waist and said, “You still did not tell me why Miranda calls you by Ah Ya?”
Gu Mengmeng’s emphasis on the two words ‘Ah Ya’ made Lea laugh out loud. He leaned in closer and bit her ear, whispering, “Because she’s shameless. She’d actually stolen the nickname that belonged to you… Mengmeng, you have to snatch back this nickname.”
Gu Mengmeng raised her brows and looked at Lea, who had a proud look.
Lea gave a seductive smile and said, “Everything about me belongs to you, including your nickname. That Miranda did not ask for permission so she’s a thief.”
“So you never allowed her to call you by that, right?” Gu Mengmeng asked.
Lea nodded seriously and said, “Someone that I was avoiding all my life, why would I allow her to give me a nickname?”
“Alright, if we really fight later on, you’d better not pity her.”
Lea kissed Gu Mengmeng lightly on the face and said, “I would only feel pained seeing you involved and tired out by this. I won’t care about other people.”
Gu Mengmeng nodded and said, “Let’s go.”
The three of them left the stone castle with a pack of wolves following them. As usual, they stopped outside the meeting room, and Gu Mengmeng was carried in by Lea.
In the meeting room, Miranda was sitting opposite Gu Mengmeng’s seat and crying her lungs out. All the tribe elders were standing two steps radius away, infuriated. The moment Gu Mengmeng entered, she heard one of them consoling Miranda, “You are the precious female of the Snow fox clan and have the most noble blood flowing inside you. In the future, we are counting on you to continue the bloodline of the deity favored son, so don’t worry, no matter what, we would not allow him to do as he pleases.”
Gu Mengmeng scoffed, “May I know if the ‘deity favored son’ that the tribe elder is referring to is my beloved Lea?”
When Gu Mengmeng spoke, the meeting room became deadpan silent. The tribe elder who had just spoken flushed white and had an obviously guilty look on his face.
Lea carried Gu Mengmeng until they were five steps in front of Miranda and stopped.
