Become A Character Who Dies Within Three Chapters Chapter 81

Chapter 81: Visiting Andersen’s House

The attitude of the Adonis family truly opened Louis’s eyes to what a demon family was like.

At the very least, they could behave like humans, even though they weren’t human. Mr. Adonis’s demeanor made Louis feel as if he truly was the child the man had cherished all along, as if nothing had happened yesterday.

"All right, Louis, let’s go to Andersen’s house," Lena spoke softly, noticing that Louis had finished eating.

At this moment, she said they were going to Andersen’s house, not to apologize.

Louis lowered his gaze, his eyes dark and unreadable. He said nothing and followed Lena, his mind already beginning to wander.

The car moved quickly. After all, it was in the same residential area, and soon Louis could see the silhouette of the Andersen mansion.

From the various expressions of the other demons yesterday, Louis could tell that the Andersen family was the most powerful clan in the area, and their mansion reflected the enormous power they wielded.

The car stopped, and Louis looked up, barely able to make out the architecture’s top.

As soon as they appeared, as if long expected, a butler came out.

Louis squinted slightly because this butler looked exactly like Mr. A!

But he couldn’t imagine a family like the Andersens using the same butler to manage Rose Mansion and their main mansion.

Sure enough, the butler bowed gracefully and said, "Welcome, esteemed guests. You may call me Mr. B."

Sensing Louis’s gaze, Mr. B smiled faintly. Without being asked, he explained, "Mr. A is my younger brother. This young master has probably met him before."

Louis said nothing and moved a little closer to Lena.

Lena seemed slightly surprised, but her face couldn’t hide her satisfaction.

She spoke softly, "We’re here to meet Mr. Andersen. My brother has something he wishes to discuss with him."

Truly imposing, Mr. B smiled. The smile seemed painted on, and not a single muscle in his face moved even slightly.

If it had been yesterday, Lena would never have dared to speak like that—but today, everything was different...

Louis naturally noticed the change. Just yesterday, Lena and Mr. Adonis even went to the Andersen house, presenting two skyscrapers as a token of sincerity. Yet today, she carried herself with such pride.

Louis didn’t need to think hard to know the reason—it seemed that the card he had used the night before had worked.

But seriously, sister, could you not act like this?! After all... he was scared!

If Lena knew he wasn’t truly some Demon Lord, she would surely have slit his throat first and then her own.

So don’t slip up, Louis. Don’t slip up!

Louis was silently panicking inside, but outwardly, he remained perfectly calm. He took his sister’s hand and slowly stepped into the Andersen mansion, shining like gold and jewels.

Servants lined both sides of the path, each slightly bowing, so still they seemed like statues. Louis noticed—they didn’t even breathe.

"Please, Lord Andersen has been expecting you for some time," Mr. B said, his tone reverent.

As soon as he finished, a commanding voice rang: "Louis, are you the one who plays with Alex? Indeed, a child with potential—one look and I can see a bright future ahead!"

The tone was imposing, but the words felt oddly mismatched. After all, looking at Mr. Andersen, he didn’t seem the type to give compliments.

His head was completely bald, shining like polished stone.

Dark blue-black markings stretched to his chin, and his exposed hands bore the same patterns. Likely, the skin beneath his white suit was no different.

He was very tall, probably around two meters. His eyes were narrow and icy, with black irises like endless pits that reflected no light, and his lips were skinny.

Louis realized that the oddities in the demons’ appearances had diminished a little today.

For example, Mrs. Adonis’s black eyes no longer dilated, her hair no longer shone unnaturally, and Mr. Adonis’s mouth seemed smaller.

As for Mr. Andersen, aside from a face that could scare a child, he looked like a normal human.

Facing Mr. Andersen’s praise, Louis said nothing.

Mr. Andersen didn’t seem to care. "Perhaps children will understand each other. Alex is in the waiting room upstairs, Louis." He then glares at Mr. B. "Show Young Master Louis to Alex’s room."

Mr. B responded respectfully.

Louis didn’t hesitate to step forward. Lena frowned, about to say something, but Mr. Andersen leaned slightly, blocking her: "Miss Lena, I believe we have something to discuss."

Without Louis present, Lena lowered her head, almost unable to resist Mr. Andersen’s command.

Louis didn’t care what Mr. Andersen and Lena were doing downstairs. Let the two demons clash—it would only be entertaining, even though Lena clearly had no chance of winning.

"Young Master Alex is waiting for you, Young Master Louis," Mr. B said softly, then quickly departed.

The door wasn’t locked. Louis pushed it open without hesitation. At that moment, a pillow was hurled toward the door. Louis paid it no mind and easily caught it midair.

"Get lost! I will never accept an apology from that toy!" Alex yelled, a hint of sobbing in his voice, as if he had been cruelly bullied.

It made sense—he had always been the one doing the bullying. Suddenly being hit by Louis, he couldn’t take it.

"Click!"

The room lights came on. Alex, lying on the bed, immediately sat up, his voice full of anger: "I said get lost! Do you want to die?!"

But the figure at the door wasn’t Mr. B or a servant. Faced with Louis’s dark expression, Alex’s angry shouts faltered slightly.

"Y-you... why are you here?!" Realizing this was his territory, Alex leapt from the bed, his voice sharp: "You must be here to apologize because you’re scared, right?"

Then the kid extended a leg toward Louis: "Lick my foot, and I’ll forgive you."

Louis lowered his gaze at the small, pale foot before him, then silently lifted it and stepped directly on it.

"Bwahhhh! How dare you! I’ll kill you!"

"You crybaby," Louis said coldly.

Alex froze, his face flushing red with rage. "You’re the crybaby! All of you are crybabies! I’m the boss! Wait... you can talk? You’re not mute? I’ll cut your tongue out! Toys shouldn’t know how to speak!"

This kid... no matter how many times he was beaten, he would never learn.

Louis pushed Alex aside, said nothing, and sat on the bed.

"Hey! That’s my bed! Even my father doesn’t dare sit here! How dare you?!" Alex screamed again.

Louis didn’t respond.

From what he had observed, this demon world still followed ordinary rules.

For example, the bigger demons held power, while the smaller ones hadn’t awakened. Louis could conclude this because the two scratches he had left on Alex’s face still hadn’t disappeared.
