Becoming a God Starts with Acting Chapter 219

Drake lay on the bed for a while, quickly growing bored.

The feeling was unbearable—he wanted to smash the entire house. He didn’t even know what had gotten that "thing" inside his body so agitated.

But right now, he could only endure it. It was even worse than before. At least earlier, Silvanus had been around... Not that he liked Silvanus, but surprisingly, the guy had been helpful in that moment.

It felt like Prophet—no, he couldn’t be the Prophet. Maybe he was Prophet’s priest, so the effect was similar. Perhaps Leonard sensed it too, so he kept clinging to Silvanus like that.

Ha, that stupid kid had probably started worshipping Silvanus as his god already. In any case, his behavior was seriously irritating!

With that thought, Drake suddenly sat up and jumped off the bed, beginning to look around the house.

That monster still hadn’t appeared yet. The second floor was its territory, but he figured he could take a little stroll.

Wearing his usual annoyed expression, Drake stepped out of the room.

"Silvanus, are you zoning out?" Silas suddenly spoke up.

Silvanus, without much concern, averted his gaze from Drake’s live broadcast room and shook his head.

The others were used to his silence and didn’t comment on it. Only Leonard continued clutching the corner of Silvanus’s cloak, like a bit of fawn that had finally found its mother.

This association isn’t ideal, Silvanus thought to himself, and began observing the surroundings.

Everywhere they could walk was covered in sunflowers—and only sunflowers.

The ones in front of the house were about 1.2 meters tall, swaying gently in the wind and looking lovely.

But the ones beside and behind the house were much more intimidating. They stood over two meters tall—some even looked like they reached three meters—towering above head height.

It couldn’t help but feel a bit eerie, as if you got lost in this sunflower forest, you might never find your way out.

After all, there were plenty of horror movies like that. And right now, they were inside a dungeon—anything could happen.

However, the people gathered here were not the type to be frightened so easily.

Silas took the lead and walked into the sunflower forest behind the house. The others followed silently, not saying a word.

[They’re way too calm... and way too in sync. Do they not even need to talk things through?]

[I wonder if this sunflower forest can trap them.]

[The sunflower forest won’t trap anyone. If it did, who would do its work, haha? Lilith hasn’t shown up yet—the sunflower forest is still trying to win over humanity.]

Silvanus focused his attention on the comments. He was starting to pick up some interesting information.

The sunflower forest swayed gently in the wind. Its leaves softly brushed against the humans—tender and delicate—nothing like the creatures usually found inside a dungeon.

The group walked along a narrow path, gradually approaching the center of the sunflower forest.

"Lilith’s new friends are so mean, boo hoo hoo."

"They’re so rude, mew! I don’t want to be friends with them at all, mew!"

"Sunflower forest, don’t play with them, they’re bad people, boo hoo hoo."

At that moment, the familiar voices of two little monsters faintly reached everyone’s ears.

As they got closer, they saw a small clearing at the heart of the sunflower forest—a patch of ground no more than ten square meters, utterly devoid of sunflowers.

The cat and the bunny stood in that space, crying and complaining. But... were they tattling to the sunflowers?

Hearing footsteps, the cat turned around first. Then it jumped in shock and shouted, "Why are you here, mew?!"

Its fur stood on end. The bunny, hearing the cat’s outburst, also turned around.

When it saw Lilith’s new friends, its ears perked up in surprise.

They’re cute, Silvanus thought to himself.

The two creatures looked at each other. Silvanus could almost see their embarrassment.

He chuckled. "So, who’s the mean one here? We’re not the ones talking behind others’ backs, after all."

The cat and the bunny might have blushed if it weren’t for their fur.

"Boo hoo hoo... so-sorry..."

"I was just telling the truth, mew! Someone was insulting, mew!"

The cat kept crying, big round eyes darting toward Lilith’s new friends. But it didn’t see that detestable figure among them, making it feel more guilty.

It stomped a paw on the ground, then pulled the bunny along to leave the clearing, decisively ignoring Lilith’s new companions.

Silvanus couldn’t help curling his lips into a smile. These two little creatures were truly foolish.

Silas gave Silvanus a sideways glance. "You’re more talkative with monsters than you are with us."

To that, Silvanus merely replied softly, "Is that so?"

Then he said nothing more. His expression was completely hidden from view after pulling his cloak hood back up. In that moment, he looked just like he had when he first appeared before them all.

The group passed through the sunflower forest. Aside from encountering the two little monsters in the clearing, they didn’t come across anything else.

Meanwhile, back in the candy house—

After passing through the first floor, which was furnished with typical household items like a kitchen, refrigerator, dining table, and sofa, Drake headed straight up to the second floor.

Even the staircase under his feet was made of chocolate. Yet it was remarkably sturdy.

After a short walk, Drake reached the second floor. The door was made of candy and firmly shut. Surprisingly, Drake held his temper and turned the doorknob gently.

The room wasn’t locked. That alone was strange.

Peering inside, Drake saw a room that was lavish and sugary sweet.

The large bed looked like it was made of something soft and fluffy, patterned like a giant strawberry shortcake. One side of the room had a small table with cookies and tea. Next to the bed stood a little vanity, and on it sat a tiny pot of sunflowers. The sunflower’s stem was slightly curved rather than straight. Small and peculiar, it still bloomed brightly, like it brought sunshine into the cozy room.

Drake stepped forward. But the moment his foot touched the floor, the chocolate beneath it suddenly melted and began to sink.

He raised an eyebrow—not panicking—and even pressed his foot down harder.

When one of his knees touched the ground, his other leg was engulfed in chocolate up to the thigh. From the looks of it, falling into this chocolate wouldn’t drop him back to the first floor—it’d drag him into an entirely different space.

With a sudden force, Drake pulled himself upright with surprising ease and withdrew his leg from the melted chocolate.

It had been so effortless that Drake couldn’t help but feel suspicious. He’d thought something would at least try to drag him down.

Or maybe... maybe the real danger hadn’t activated yet, since Lilith wasn’t here.

Thinking that, Drake turned around and headed back downstairs. He remembered seeing a water tap outside the house.

When Silvanus’s group returned, they first saw Drake washing his leg at the tap outside.

He was gripping the faucet aggressively, and half of his body was soaked even before he finished cleaning his foot. At this rate, he looked like he might explode and bite the water tap any second now.

"Hahaha! Drake, did you crawl out of a pile of poop or something?" Cocona shouted as she strode quickly toward him.

Drake frowned and glanced over—but then suddenly froze for a second. The hand gripping the faucet relaxed a bit.

Silvanus could feel Drake’s gaze on him.

What the hell now? Half his face was already hidden beneath the hood! There was nothing to look at on his face. What was Drake staring at?!

[I was gonna say the same—when Silvanus pulls up his cloak like that, he does resemble the Prophet a little. Just... skinnier!]

[It’s not exactly a perfect match, it’s more like... a vibe, you know? A feeling!]

It’s not that serious, he thought. He wasn’t even trying to act the part.

But he could feel the shift in both Drake and Leonard’s attitude. Could this be... the uncanny perception of top-tier Believers?

Silvanus suddenly felt a headache coming on. He was already worried about this dungeon, and now he had to worry about losing his cloak.

What kind of god has it this rough, seriously?
