Pah!
A light wound sounded but was easily drowned by the loud noise of the crowd in the theme park.
Emily’s eyes had shut close when she saw the girl in front of her lifting her hand and she readied herself for the slap, but the familiar pain that she was expecting never came. Instead, it was the familiar voice of her brother that sounded from behind her.
"What do you think you’re trying to do?" Alex asked in an extremely cold voice while holding the wrist of the girl in the air.
He had rushed forward after seeing this random worm try to slap his cute sister and had caught her hand in the air before she could touch Emily.
Alex secretly sighed with relief, good thing he had acted fast enough; he might have done something horrible to this girl had she slapped Emily in front of him.
The three girls stared at Alex with shock in their eyes; it was even more so for the girl whose hand Alex was currently gripping. She didn’t even see him move and it was as if he had teleported right behind Emily and grabbed her hand before she could even bring it down.
’Was this the strength of a trash mage?’ she thought to herself as she tried to force her hand out of Alex’s grip, but she was further shocked to see that she couldn’t move her hand at all; Alex’s grip was like a firm iron claw that held her tightly in place.
She was even starting to feel some pain.
"H-here, let go. Do you know who my father is? My sister is here as well, let go at this instant if you don’t want something bad to happen!" The girl threatened but her face showed a panicking look.
Alex’s face remained cold, his eyes were like those of ruthless assassins. He could already guess that these three were the reason for Emily’s miserable state every time he came to get her from school, they dared to trouble her outside since they couldn’t do anything in their school anymore.
Did they really think that they were untouchable?
"I’ll ask you again. What do you think you’re trying to do to my sister?" Alex asked again, his right hand held the girl’s wrist firmly while his left hand held the two cotton candies.
The other two girls had fearful expressions on their faces as they slowly stepped back. Alex’s words and expression were scaring them; they didn’t expect the always dull-looking boy to have such a savage side.
As for the girl with red hair, her face had turned ugly from Alex holding and questioning her. Unable to bear it anymore, she snapped.
"What does it look like? Your sister is trash just like you and I was only trying to slap her as punishment." She spat out while looking Alex in the eyes.
"B-big brother, let’s go." Emily’s soft voice sounded in between them, she didn’t want her brother to get involved with these three girls since it could cause him more trouble.
Alex glanced at her before handing the two cotton candies in his left hand.
"Hold this,"
Emily received the two candies and stared at them with confusion, why give both to her?
After freeing his left hand, Alex turned back to look at the red-haired girl with cold eyes before slowly saying.
"Slap her as punishment? Listen closely, no one touches my sister." Alex had kept out the last sentence as a whisper; his voice caused the body of the red-haired girl to shiver slightly, and she felt cold for some reason.
After saying his piece, Alex suddenly lifted his left hand with the back of his palm angled at the girl’s left cheek.
Without being told, everyone realised what he was about to do and their eyes couldn’t help but widen. Emily felt her soul almost leaving her body, and she wanted to stop her brother, but for some reason, she did not and just stared with wide eyes.
"Alex? What the fuck are you trying to do to my sister?"
Just before Alex’s hand could deliver the slap, an angry yet familiar voice rang from not far away.
All of them stopped what they were doing and looked over; they saw a young girl who seemed to be between 18 and 19 in an expensive outfit and two bodyguards in black suits rushing over.
Alex recognised the girl, it was his classmate, Laura! The "hope" of the academy in the coming competition, according to teacher Arnold.
Meanwhile, the eyes of the red-haired girl who was about to be slapped by Alex brightened, and she excitedly called out.
"Sis, this person is bullying me!"
Alex looked at the girl before looking at Laura, he could see the resemblance.
"So she’s your sister. No wonder she’s as rotten as you," Alex said softly, but everyone heard it.
Laura’s eyes twitched when she heard it, she felt that her ears were playing tricks on her because the Alex she knew would never dare to say such a thing to her even if he was given ten more guts.
Ignoring Alex’s words, she glared at him and ordered him to let her sister go.
"Or what?" Alex asked, still maintaining his grip on the girl’s wrist.
Emily already had a nervous expression on her face as she looked at the two men in black suits, she was worried about her brother. The other two girls simply watched from the side.
"Kid, let the young lady go. Otherwise, you might not be able to walk home on your own." One of the men in black suits snickered.
Alex merely glanced at him before looking back at Laura, the other party was only an ordinary human and wasn’t worth his attention.
"Your sister and her friends were bullying my sister, isn’t it only fair that I educate them on morals?"
Alex asked as a small grin formed on his lips.
For some reason, Laura was getting a bad feeling from the grin on Alex’s face.
"So what? It’s just little girls messing around, who are you to correct her?" Laura said, her tone as arrogant as always.
"The brother of the person being messed with," Alex retorted coldly.
Laura’s eyes flashed with sharp glint; she wanted to launch a spell at Alex’s face, but he was still holding her sister.
"Then what are you going to do, you aren’t going to hit her just because she messed with your sister. A real man wouldn’t hit a woman." Laura said with a smirk.
Alex paused for a brief moment as if he was thinking about something, his eyes looked around before settling on the girl in front of him. His grin grew larger as she slowly said.
"If it involves my sister, then sorry...I’m not a real man."
Laura’s expression changed drastically upon hearing Alex’s words, and she was about to say something, but it was too late because immediately after Alex finished speaking, his hand dropped down like lightning.
The speed wasn’t too fast but it was fast enough for the surrounding people not to follow it with their eyes.
BAM!
The back of Alex’s palm fiercely smashed into the left side of the girl’s face, her cheeks folded as she was sent flying to the side while leaving a trail of saliva in the air.
’Umm, that must have cost her a tooth or two.’ Alex commented inwardly as she watched the girl fly to the side before crashing into the ground with a bright red cheek.
He had made sure to control his strength so the damage was manageable.
"How dare you?!"
